« We had a really good stay at this property. It’s located in the small town of Shady Spring, which was quiet and peaceful, but still a great location overall. The house is about 10 minutes north of Winterplace Ski Resort, which made it perfect for our ski trip, and about 15 minutes south of Beckley where you can find everything you need—restaurants, groceries, and shopping.The host was great and answered all of our questions quickly, which made the stay smooth and stress-free. « Overall stay was great failed to mention there is no heat in main part of the house only in the bedrooms the sulfur in the water is really bad I turned the water on in the bathroom and could smell it throughout the entire house I felt like i was walking around smelling like a rotten egg from the sulfur smell of the water they did however provide bottled water for drinking and cooking and considering everything is far from property I feel ice trays would be great to have there as well »

« Great location, comfortable beds. Very clean. Everything felt brand new! Highly recommend the nearby “Foot of the Mountain” cafe. There were no checkout instructions other than time, so we stripped the beds, put sheets in a pile on floor, same with bath towels. »

« This was a great property for our family (with small kids and a dog) for a long weekend to New River Gorge NP. The house was well equipped for us all. The kitchen had all the basics needed, a small charcoal grill on the deck, a firepit with firewood, a restaurant style highchair for our 1yr old, basketball game and foosball table for the 5yr old, basic supplies like dishsoap, laundry soap, papertowels, tp and whatnot.
