'We have enjoyed a fantastic 2 night stay, the location was spot on only 2 minutes to Lake Windermere and the ferry landing point. Colin is the perfect host, very attentive, knowledgeable of the area and looked after us well. Breakfast was a lovely; full English in a cosy setting. The room was fine with all amenities. It was our birthdays whilst there and Colin decorated the room, these touches are most appreciated. Definitely recommend 10/10'

'Booked this for my friend’s wedding as it was walking distance to the venue! Affordable room close to the river, quiet and clean. I liked having a fridge and oven etc although we didn’t need it. Owner was great, I asked if the room had a hairdryer as my partner forgot his and he sorted us out! Would stay again if I needed to go to Preston :)'

'Property was quiet, warm and generally clean - good location so we could walk to a couple of restaurants. Would have felt safer if other clients remembered to close the inner front door, which was on a keypad lock!! A couple of minor things which I mentioned directly to the Mode people - but not a deal-breaker!'
