3500sf Family Home with View, Near Palisades/Squaw Valley

Wonderful Architect designed home majestically located in a private mountain setting adjacent to National Forest with no other homes in sight. The main living level has a huge great room with a 26 foot high cathedral ceiling, large stone fireplace, contemporary kitchen with stainless steel appliances, 6-burner Thermador range, granite counters, and an awesome view of Sawtooth Ridge. There is also a south facing deck with waterfall. The master bedroom wing has a large bedroom with queen size bed and bathroom with double sink, soaking tub and shower. There is also a laundry room and home office on this wing. Upstairs off the loft are a bathroom and three bedrooms with queen size beds. Enjoy the huge recreation room downstairs, with TV/VCR, sofa, ping-pong table, poker table, full bath, twin bed and bunk bed alcove. There are beds for 11, but there is also a pull out mattress under the twin bed and a futon under the bunk bed that may be used. The Placer County limit of 12 people does not include those under 16 years of age.

Other notes:

Horse shoes and corn hole are available for outdoor play during warm weather months.

As of July 2022, we have a new internet provider that does not require a satellite, so we now have excellent internet service that also allows streaming movies.

4WD or AWD with vehicles with good tires are required during winter months, even when chains are not required on the main roads, due to potentially icy driveway conditions.

Placer County short term rental regulations no longer allow use of the barbecue due to fire danger, sorry.

The check in was very good once we remembered the old gym locker process of left , go past right, and then left again. We were very impressed with the fact that all 12 of us could fit into the condo very comfortably. The dining room had a table that made our celebrations possible. The major drawback of this lovely condo is the fact that it’s close enough to the main road to hear traffic, which at times was so loud that it drowned out conversation on the deck. Our four young boys enjoyed the downstairs game room with the bunkbeds, and had a great time, playing games and cards. The kitchen was fully stocked, and the bedrooms were clean. The bathrooms needed to have more than one towel placed in them, as we did not find the extra towels until the day before we left. Aside from these few drawbacks, we enjoyed our stay very much.

Such a great place!

Our family went up for a family vacation and for a wedding. The house is everything you see as advertised. Check in and checkout are super easy, communication with the owner is fantastic. Very responsive, very accommodating. We are already planning our winter vacation for this location. Enjoy! We sure did!

Weekend stay in Tahoe

Stayed with our family for the weekend. The house was huge, plenty of room and had everything we needed. There was a power outage late at night and Kevin was quick to respond when I messaged him! The only con was there were a few little critter bugs in the basement that appeared on my cousins pillow and in the basement bathroom. Other than that, it was great for a large group!

Youth Trip

Kevin was a great host! He was so communicative, accessible, and flexible. The property is close to everything, so it was really convenient for our gathering! Their game room and board games were a huge hit with our group as well.Guests launder their sheets before they leave to keep cleaning costs lower, which we didn't mind, but some might. I kept 1 star off bc I think 1 set of sheets wasn't laundered before we got there. But the rest was perfectly fine, and I would absolutely stay there again. Their welcome binder was full of great info and their kitchen even had extra baking goods and spices for us if we needed them. These hosts are very considerate. Definitely a good rental!

Great house for a large group!

To start, communication with the owner was fantastic. We were so happy to have so much information and the available to ask any questions.The house is cozy, yet very roomy. The main room has awesome high ceiling adding to the feeling of space. The kitchen was very well equipped and large enough for use by multiple helpers. We had small children included in our party and they loved the house, one said she wanted to stay instead of going home! So sweet!

Great clean place to stay

We were 3 families staying for a long weekend with kids from 4-16. The property was clean really nice. We were able to cook dinner 2 nights and Palisades was very close. The kids loved staying in the rec room where there were a lot of activities for them in there. We would stay here again.

Snow Globe with my Family

The house is such a wonderful location especially if you're going to Palisades. It's the perfect combo of feeling secluded in the woods and being very close to restaurants and the freeway. It's great for a large group. We loved that we could bring our dog. We had everything we needed and a lot of space. My favorite feature of the house is the big beautiful living room window. It was snowing so it was like we were staying in a snow globe.

Great Home for Family and close to Palisades.

We have 3 children under 12 and they loved the house. It is spacious. They loved the game room. We wanted to take our kids snowboarding for the first time and it was a 5 minutes drive to Palisades. The directions where great, the host has excellent communication. We would love to come back. We highly recommend!

Tahoe trip

The home is in a very good location and is 5 min away from Palisades Tahoe village and ski resort. We were a big group of 7 adults, 3 kids and a dog. The home was very comfortable for such a big group, with a lot of space for the kids to run around and play. The basement is very convenient for kids to play and make as much noise as they want. It wouldn’t bother us in the main floor or upstairs where all the bedrooms are. Overall the stay was very good and we’d love to book this place again in the future.
