'The Malt Store surpassed our expectations, the apartment was huge, absolutely spotless and extremely comfortable. Birr is a nice little town and we were very close to all amenities. The staff were very prompt and friendly in answering any correspondence regarding our stay. I would thoroughly recommend The Malt Store as accommodation if visiting this part of Ireland. 'Lovely hotel with great amenities and lovely grounds. Room was great and a very generous breakfast served each day. The restaurant was a bit pricey however, food is delicious with good portions. Staff all very helpful. Will stay here again.'

'There were 3 beds in my single room. No GSM coverage at all in my room at the south side of the hotel, only when holding my phone against the window. Room was comfortable & clean and indeed included free, good functioning, wifi. The south side of the hotel is so close to the highway you can't open your window because of the noise. Consider booking something else.'
