Ryokans in Regio Kinki

'We were picked up by the hotel shuttle bus from the train station. On arrival at the hotel, we were welcomed by a lot of staff and got a welcome drink in the lounge with a stunning view over the city. We were then invited for a after dinner trip to the top of the mountain which was again a stunning view over the city. The dinnner and breakfast were typical Japanese style and very tasty. 'It is a simple ryokan which shows how it used to be. Very serene and quiet place with a small but beautiful onsen (hot pool and outside rockpool). Right there he walk to the Buddhist temple along the Kansii River starts. A most outstanding forest walk with many Buddhist features along the way. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and that 2 hour walk.'
