Sugar Beach Resort #PH-29 is a penthouse suite towered on the sixth floor and located on the front row, inner-end location of the complex. From the balcony, you are just a stones-throw away from the water. This direct ocean view is perfect for outdoor dinning, watching sunsets, or observing the whales in season! Sugar Beach Resort #PH-29 is a 1 bedroom 1 bath condo that can sleep up to 2 guests. The unit has a full kitchen, washer-dryer, central AC, and an oceanfront balcony. There is a cal king bed in the Primary bedroom. Unit has cable TV, stereo system, and complimentary Wi-Fi. Long distance calling to the US Mainland and Canada is included. The unit also comes equipped with basic beach equipment you will need to explore any of Maui's pristine beaches.
This condo fronts a long white sand beach called Sugar Beach which is perfect for long walks, sunsets and fun in the sun.
Same day bookings (meaning arrival is within 48 hours of making the reservation) requires a phone call to Rentals Maui for confirmation.
Bookings made within 7 days of arrival will require an ID check and screening prior to confirmation.
Longer stays require additional terms and conditions. Please contact Rentals Maui for inquiries longer than 60 nights.

Amazing view. Directions to locate building ans room at the resort needs improvement. I arived late ans power was out. Walked around in the dark and rain for some time. Neighbors frequently blocked doorway with shopping cart. Room very clean and comfortable. Mattress could be better.

The place is perfect for two people. If you have smaller kids, I would say under teens, I would say two would work probably no more than one if there teens. Everything was clean the patio and view was amazing. Everything was well prepared for our arrival. We would definitely stay there again.

This was our 6th time staying at Sugar Beach Resort, and we thoroughly enjoy ourselves once again. PH29 was very comfortable and well equipped, though a bit outdated. We would definitely stay here again.

Stop Scrolling and Rent Here

It was quiet. It had air conditioning. It was beautiful. You need a car to get to restaurants. But bring groceries and you almost need never leave. Buy fresh fish and bbq by the pool (we didn't do this, but wished we had when we saw and smelled others grilling). Sit in the hot tub. Walk barefoot on the shore. Watch the sunset from the lanai. Relax in the recliner. Only drawback, this is one of the very few rental houses we have encountered that had no salt and pepper or other dry condiments, so be sure and pick some up at the store. They have everything you need to cook though. Pool/beach towels were great and we wished we'd taken the provided chairs when we did a little island exploring. Also, if you head for Hana, as we did, we highly recommend leaving at 5a as the traffic was minimal and that was a huge plus on that road. Would 100% stay here again.

Very clean with amazing view

We stayed in PH29 from September 5th through September 10th, 2024. This was our fourth stay at Sugar Beach Resort since 2002, and the unit was by far the cleanest and most well furnished unit we have stayed in. The owners recently replaced the washer/dryer unit, the couch, the recliner, the refrigerator, and the carpets in the living room and bedroom. There was one issue with the air conditioner sensor on the sliding glass door but a maintenance technician was able to replace the batteries. We hope to stay in this unit again when we visit Maui!

Perfect view of a perfect beach

This place was perfect for my wife and I. It is right on Sugar Beach with a full view of the ocean. There is a full kitchen with all the gear we needed, which made breakfast on the balcony overlooking the beach a great way to save money on our trip. The hotel has a very nice hot tub and swimming pool, but we preferred the ocean. The property itself is definititly a little dated, and while they have a sandwich shop there, we mostly made our own food or drove in to Kihei for food. The room did come with 2 Tommy Bahama chairs, which was great but didn't come with shampoo and conditioner. The bed was comfortable and bed room was quiet. The bathroom was small and only has a shower, but that was fine for us. Overall a great value for a beach side room in Maui.
