Thank you so much for considering A502 Maui Sunset for your Time, Energy and Money. With the Internet bringing access to so many wonderful and exotic holiday destinations, and with time and funds so precious, we do appreciate your taking the time to visit your Maui home-away-from-home.


We don't like one-size-fits-all for our vacations, so we ask your preference about some things specific to your Maui stay
1. Do you prefer Still water or Sparkling?
2. If you enjoy chocolate, do you prefer Dark or Milk chocolate?
3. Do you prefer Sweet, Salty, Sour, Spicy, Neutral or all flavors?

We firmly believe that the better you sleep, the better you time, so we have created your Clean & Green Sleep Suite:
We've gone five steps beyond luxury to allow you the sleep you like best:

Maui Sunset is lovingly maintained. A502 is located on the top floor with direct access from 2 elevators and 2 sets of stairs. The great views from your lanai (balcony) include sunsets over the ocean and sunrises over the majestic Haleakala Volcano. It has an inside washer & dryer, an iron and ironing board. The full kitchen, with mostly organic spices, is equipped with a full size refrigerator, 4 sealed burners, a full sized oven, a blender, a microwave & a coffee maker. With the other small kitchen appliances and tools, you have everything you might need, except for the food, for takeout, a quick snack or a multi-coursed feast. If you prefer barbecue there are 6 propane barbecue grills, topped up every morning, visible from your lanai (balcony).

You have Free WiFi, Free High Speed Broadband Internet, and Free Cable TV viewable from the bedroom, kitchen & living room.
Additional linens, towels, a complementary starter set of laundry soap and dish washing detergent are all provided.
There are 4 beach chairs, a beach umbrella with a sturdy travel bag, large beach towels, 2 boogie boards, and 3 different sized ice coolers.

The Maui Sunset is an oceanfront resort that retains the aloha spirit of old Hawaii with no road, highway or other property between us, the beach and the ocean. The beautifully manicured grounds are located on 5.5 lush acres of oceanfront in Kihei. It's noted for year round sunshine, balmy trade winds, and soothing evening air. Average daytime temperature in summer is 85℉ / 29℃, in winter 78℉ / 26℃; night time temperatures are approximately 10℉ / 5℃ lower than daytime. It is one of the driest and sunniest areas on the entire island, averaging only 10 inches of rain a year!


We have a friendly Concierge service, free private parking and on site security.
With a view of the ocean, the large 60 foot heated "L" swimming pool is maintained between 81- 84℉ (27 - 29℃). It's open 8:00am-10:00pm daily with hot tub at 102℉ (39℃) and tiki torches. The very helpful, pool side activities desk will lend equipment for shuffleboard, croquet, the golf putting green, pickleball & the tennis courts. We have a wonderful workout room with great lighting, 8 Matrix machines, and a full set of free weights. The activities desk will offer suggestions, sometimes with discounts, for activities, restaurants and sightseeing to help you have the best stay. It's 5 blocks to major shopping: restaurants, shops, supermarkets, drug stores and souvenirs can be reached on foot.


As we said earlier we firmly believe that the better your sleep, the better your vacation, so your Clean & Green Sleep Suite goes five steps beyond luxury to allow you the sleep you like best:

1. Sheets, Bedding & degrees of firmness:
To go "beyond luxury", I learned that as consumers increasingly demand natural products, some companies manipulate the term ‘organic’ when labeling their textiles. Fibers grown organically – but processed with toxic chemicals – may still carry the organic label. ‘Wrinkle free’ or ‘permanent press’ labels should also be avoided because manufacturers treat these fabrics with formaldehyde resin, a toxic chemical.
What I learned caused me to buy all the bedding that touches my skin and yours from Parachutehome.com. They are all, also certified as lacking in the harmful substances, monitored by Oeko-Tex certification and REACH protocol requirements. These are chemicals prohibited or regulated by law which are known to be harmful to human health.
All of our bedding from Parachute Home exceeds both Oeko-Tex certification and REACH protocol requirements.
Our queen sized bed is covered by a Memory Foam mattress topper. So, if you prefer a firmer mattress, just take off the topper, roll it and stand it up in the corner of the bedroom.

2. Pillow choices:
Three sets of different kinds of pillows allows you to have your favorites or to develop a new favorite.

3. Lighting and Darkness options:
Some of us like to sleep in total darkness; some of us don't and both choices await you: The Clean & Green Sleep Suite has double blackout curtains, blackout covers for the TV, the alarm clock, the air conditioner LED panel, and the extension cord with USB ports should you choose complete darkness.
Alternatively, there are night lights which you can use should you choose.

4. Temperature Range:
As we said earlier: average daytime temperature in summer is 85℉/29℃, in winter 78℉/26℃; nighttime temperatures are approximately 10℉/5℃ lower than daytime.
If you wish it warmer, extra blankets are available.
If cooler suits you: there is an air conditioner, a ceiling fan and free standing fans.
5. Cleaning : chemical-free or a choice of Peppermint, Citrus, Lavender, or Flower essential oils:
We clean the bedding, curtains and surfaces with Seventh Generation and Ecos products. We clean the carpet "Green." If you'd prefer we will add one of our essential oils to the process.


And, as the name suggests, Maui Sunsets has among the best sunsets anywhere.
