This beachfront one-bedroom / one-bath condo in North Kihei, Maui offers a serene and beautiful retreat on Sugar Beach. The unit features quality finishes such as granite countertops, tile flooring, and lovely furniture. Central A/C, a spacious bedroom with a king bed, and a large flat-screen TV ensure comfort and relaxation. The full kitchen allows for meal preparation, and the large lanai provides exceptional views of the surroundings.

Guests can enjoy whale watching in the winter and the sight of outriggers launching from the nearby canoe club year-round. Guests can also partake in unique experiences such as watching the Kihei Canoe Club's practices or races. The Kihei Canoe Club is next door to the resort. Watching the canoes during practices or races is a cool diversion most other resorts can’t offer. On Tuesdays & Thursdays, they offer visitors an opportunity to paddle out with them ($40 donation) so worth it!

The resort itself offers a low-key, authentic experience with convenient amenities including coin-operated laundries. Centrally located in North Kihei, it provides easy access to various attractions and adventures on the island.

Whether strolling along the white-sand shoreline or relaxing by the pool, guests can savor the beauty of tropical sunrises, sunsets, and starry nights. Nearby local treasures and activities add to the charm of this delightful retreat.

Clean, convenient and comfortable

This listing was exactly as described, very comfortable accommodations and gorgeous view of the beach. Lovely little area to sit on the beach or relax on the grass higher up, spray station and pool. My only cons to the trip were there seemed to be ants in the condo when we arrived, no recycling and some of the “house rules” seems pretty strict (a threat of a $200 fee if you used too many towels..?) especially for a 6+ day stay. Overall was great for our stay, a quick 10 min drive to everything in Kihei, less than an hour to the rest. Rental car/TURO highly recommended!

Quiet and Peaceful

Great condo literally right on the beach. Very quiet and lowkey which we loved and right across the street from a corner store and local farmer’s market. No more than 15-30 min max away from all the big must sees on the island. Only complaint is (and maybe I read the info wrong) the laundry unit is community and on a separate floor of the unit- not inside your condo. Overall- we’d stay again!

My daughter and her 6 month old visited me during my stay, it couldn't have been a cleaner, better spot for easy poolside chats, quiet baby naps and little errands across the road at ABC, Sugar Beach Bake Shop and the farmer's market. Sunrise and sunset beach walks for Grandma too--perfect!!

Exceptional, Couldn't Have Been Better!

I grew up staying in 5 star hotels (sue me, I didn't choose that life), so when I tell you this property is incredible, know that is my basis. The property has a clean, modern aesthetic which immediately sets it apart from many of the other rentals in this area. The Unit had all the modern amenities you would expect from a well maintained apartment: dishes, cups, utensils, basic soaps, toilet papers, paper towels, etc., dishwasher, garbage disposal, so no complaints there. The fridge and dishwasher are both rather large, which made it easy to store our groceries for the week and cook from home. The unit is no more than 50 feet from the water and when sitting on the deck or with the door open we were serenaded by the soft lapping of waves. The beach itself was a bit windy, but the winds are likely why the waves are as gentle as they are. Overall, the unit made for a relaxing, well stocked, and gorgeous home-base for our maui trip. Management was very attentive to our calls and texts. We had a major issue our first night and the management was very responsive, we got it resolved within 4 hours despite being after 5pm. Overall, this was a 5/5 experience, especially given the cost, and the property exceeded our expectations. However there were some minor negatives that, while noticeable, were not enough to detract from the 5/5 recommendation, especially at this price point. I'll describe below just for fair warning. The mattress was just okay, typical spring mattress, and the pillows weren't particularly great, reminded me of those cheap cotton pillows you'd get from a big-box store. The air conditioner was much stronger in the common area than the bedroom, and we had to leave the bedroom door open half an hour before sleeping to get the bedroom to the temperature we wanted. The bathroom sink took a long time to drain, probably about 30-45 seconds after we would use it to wash our hands. These things are not enough to detract from the overall experience, but fair warning to anyone who rents here. I cant speak to renting for groups of friends or families with children, but our experience was exceptional. Very happy and would rent again in a heartbeat.

Perfect Kihei Vacation

Great communication from start to finish! Very thorough directions for laundry/pool/check-in. Great location for the beach, ABC store, shave ice, bakery. Centrally located between Lahaina and Wailea. Perfect size for our family with two kids. Security staff very friendly, gas grills and pool were all great. Would stay again!

Beautiful Location!

Overall, our stay was good. We have stayed in many VRBO properties on the islands, and the location of this unit can't be beat! If traveling with more than two in your party, I would suggest contacting the management company for extra bedding. Only extra sheets were provided, but luckily our daughter brought a blanket. Unfortunately, the air conditioning was OUT in the entire building for a few days of our stay. Not anyone's fault but I would have appreciated a heads up, as it was scheduled maintenance! Location is a FIVE but the unit itself was a THREE - averaging it out to a FOUR STARS!

wonderful area

It was a great spot - not super fancy by any means but had everything we needed. not-quite-four-stars is because we had to call to get bedding for the second bed (but someone arrived right away to get that settled) and there were a few weird things with communicating - the pool code in the guest book was incorrect and the laundry was inaccessible at a time it was listed to be open. Mostly, though, you're in Maui and RIGHT ON THE BEACH so who cares? Beautiful all times of day and convenient to the whole island. Being next door to the canoe club was fantastic - we got to watch a race on our last day. And the businesses just across the street - shave ice, farmers market, bakery, etc - were all so special and convenient.

Nice place. Not too fancy, but perfect for a two week stay.

Comfortable, although needs some slight updating of things that in the the end are not really important. Clean, everything works. Awesome to be so close to the ocean! Jumped right in every day, and was able to go paddling with Kihei Canoe Club right next door! Amenities close by such as ABC Store, all else very close by. Central location on the island to get to all the other fantastic stuff Maui has to offer. Very impressed with condition of property after terrible storm of Dec 6 which caused flooding in this area. Owners have obviously worked very hard to bring property up to great condition.

Ocean view balcony!

If you love the sound of the ocean and a great view of the water, this is the spot. Overlooking sugar beach, this area of Kihei isn’t very crowded and the beach is pretty safe and great for swimming. The condo was fine for two people, although the hideabed was not very comfortable, it had everything we needed. Across the street from the ABC store, bakery and farmers market, everything was very convenient. My mom and I had a great time and I would definitely stay here again.

Sugar beach condo was just right!!

The condo has everything we needed; king size bed, air conditioning, full kitchen and balcony on a swimable/walkable beach. Sugar beach is a great beach, across the street was a nice farmers market try the fresh pineapple, an ABC store, an amazing bakery ( had macaroons, puffy donuts, quiche, mango bread, etc) and a shaved ice place. The condo complex has a foot wash and this condo has beach chairs, umbrella, beach towels and cooler - everything you need for a day on the beach. The pool is small but just right. Shari the property manager was very responsive when we needed her. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
