Our beachfront Maui condo unit immerses you in updated luxury and the spirit of the islands. PH24 looks out on the golden sands of Sugar Beach on Maui’s south coast – the sunniest and driest part of the island – and the endless ocean horizon beyond.
PH24 is a direct beachfront unit. It is not a pool-facing unit and is not set back from the beach requiring a long walk from your unit to the pool or beach like many of the larger resorts on the island.
The thoughtfully chosen furnishings and décor in this recently remodeled top-floor penthouse unit will envelop you with the island lifestyle. The unit is equipped with everything you need for a great Maui vacation including beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, beach mats and beach towels.

Relax on your private lanai with a Mai Tai and enjoy a front row seat to watch outrigger canoes glide by, green sea turtles swimming in the surf, magnificent humpback whales as they return each winter to enjoy the warm Maui waters, and some of the best sunsets on the island. While several units have one wall on the lanai that juts out and obstructs your view, ours does not.
Beachfront Resort: Lounge on soft white sands, walk the 5-mile long undeveloped beach, or enjoy stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, and snorkeling on in the warm waters of Maui’s south coast – just steps from your unit.

Sugar Beach Resort is central to all of the beautiful beaches and incredible activities Maui offers:
• Wailea: 15 minutes. Play a round of golf, dine at award winning restaurants, or browse the luxurious Shops of Wailea.
• Paia, Baldwin State Park, and the North Shore: 20 minutes. Watch the surfers, kiteboarders and windsurfers on Maui’s north shore, hang at Baldwin Beach or baby beach, grab a bite to eat at one of the several great cafés, and then explore the galleries, boutiques, and eclectic shops of Paia Town.
• Ioa Valley State Park: 20 minutes. Explore the trails and check out the tropical flora of Hawaii on your trek along the ‘Ioa Valley Lookout Trail and Ethnobotanical Loop and learn about the plants that Hawaiians brought to Maui.
• Makawao and Upcountry: 25 minutes. Check out the Historic Paniolo Country of Upcountry Maui. This charming town was once named one of the top 25 arts destinations in the U.S.
• Lahaina: 30 minutes. Take in Front Street and the old whaling town of Lahaina. People-watch, have dinner and browse more galleries, boutiques and shops.
• Kaanapali: 35 minutes. Enjoy Whaler’s Village and famous Kaanapali Beach.
• Haleakala National Park: 1 hour. Get up early to catch the sunrise over the crater and then hike the rugged trails and volcano at Haleakala State Park.

Beautiful sandy beaches, spectacular sunsets, and exciting activities are yours from this beautifully remodeled Maui Beachfront condo. Enjoy lounging on soft white sands, taking a beach walk along the 5-miles of undeveloped beach, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, or snorkeling in the turquoise waters steps from your unit on Maui’s south coast, or simply relaxing by the pool or relaxing in the hot tub and sauna.
Maui Sights and Treasures, the activities desk on the property, will happily assist you in booking all of the best tours and activities Maui has to offer.
A 5 minute walk down the beach brings you to Kihei Canoe Club, Sugar Beach Bakery (fantastic baked goods, pies, macaroons, malasadas, and spam musubi), Ululani’s Shave Ice – voted Maui’s Best Shave Ice, a farmer’s market (Monday through Friday) for fresh local fruit and produce, and an ABC Store.
The Kihei Canoe Club offers a Visitor Paddling Program that includes an introduction to Hawaiian Culture, instruction in outrigger canoe paddling, and discussion of the local sea life.
Renew with a massage or yoga class from Valley Isle Day Spa located on the property (voted South Maui’s best kept secret).
WEDDINGS & EVENTS:
Sugar Beach Events is a short walk down the beach and offers complete wedding and event planning at the beautiful ocean front venue. If you are attending an event at Sugar Beach Events, Sugar Beach Resort is a great spot to stay.
When you rent from us you will be dealing directly with the owner and not with a commercial property rental agency. Many of the "by owner" listings on VRBO are not actually by the owner, but by rental agencies. This is our personal Maui vacation home. As guests in our home, we take great care to provide you with attentive and timely service in order to make your Hawaiian vacation as enjoyable as possible.
TRIP CANCELLATION / TRAVEL INSURANCE RECOMMENDED: We recommend you purchase trip cancellation / travel insurance. Maui's weather is generally beautiful and warm, but the islands are in a tropical location where tropical storms and even hurricanes frequently occur. It is rare for a hurricane to directly hit the Hawaiian Islands, there are regular hurricane warnings and watches during hurricane season - June to September. Other natural disasters are also available including wild fires. It is recommended that you purchase travel insurance no matter when you travel. We DO NOT deviate from our stated cancellation policy for any refund for illness, natural disasters, or weather-related cancellations or concerns.
COVID-19 VIRUS OR OTHER VIRAL OUTBREAKS, EPIDEMICS AND PANDEMICS:
We will not offer refunds for fear of travel caused by the COVID-19 virus or other viral outbreaks, epidemics and pandemics in the State of Hawaii or otherwise.
ANNUAL POOL CLOSURE:
The Sugar Beach pool deck, pool, hot tub, and sauna ("Pool") are closed annually for maintenance for 2 weeks beginning the 2nd Monday of September. In 2024, the Pool is scheduled to be closed between September 9, 2024 and September 23, 2024.
BOOKING:
Reservations must be secured by an initial deposit of 25% of the total reservation amount. At the time of booking, VRBO also charges a service charge based on the total value of your reservation. Full payment is due 90 days prior to arrival. VRBO will send you an email request. No refund if the reservation is cancelled less than 60 before check-in.
A $300 Damages/Security Deposit is collected with the full payment. The damage/security deposit is fully refunded within fourteen (14) days of departure.
