« Unfortunately, the house was filthy when we checked in. The floors and bathrooms were dirty, as was the kitchen. We overcame this, as the house at the lake was spectacular with a refrigerator, bathroom ice maker and barbecue. We were able to spend long periods of time at the lake without climbing back to the main house. Additionally, there is no outdoor lighting on the deck at the main house so we were unable to have dinner outside. It would have been helpful to know that the barn was also a...

After inquiring and being told where extras were, to find there was none, the owner’s response was basically a lighthearted “I guess the previous guests took it with them and I’ll be sure to restock it in the future”. « We would give this 10 stars if possible. Cannot say enough good things about this place. There is nowhere like this, if you are looking at this listing and it is available, book it now. We can't wait to check it out in every season. Winter was especially wonderful for the hot tub. We were fortunate to get a clear night and had a beautiful view of the stars. Christina is a wonderful host who has gone above and beyond to make a very special getaway. »
