Truly Fantastic Vacation

My family had a wonderful experience at your condo. It was absolutely perfect for our family. Everyone at the complex was incredibly friendly. One of the highlights of our stay was the tide pools. The were teeming with fish, and we had so much fun watching them. The location couldn't be beat. Restaurants everywhere and the food is fantastic. Thank you!

Sound of waves all day and night!

The location of this property to shopping and restaurants was wonderful! An easy walk into town. The location of the condo on the property was perfect. Oceanfront and could see the pool area also. Views for days! Inside was clean and comfortable. Luckily there were lots of fans because the small AC didnโ€™t do its job and we ended up giving up on using the fans only even though it was quite warm while we were there. It was a great condo and we would stay again.

Fabulous View!

It was a breeze finding and getting in to our condo (A27). We did find some missed cleaning of our unit window and window sill of the master bath, all tile floors need a good scrubbing, all windows and screens need to be cleaned, new throw pillows on couchโ€™s recommended and cushions on patio chairs. The master bath is too small and toilet does not work well, sink smelled like sewer. Other than that it was great.

This property as a whole is a different set up. You take an elevator but still have to go up or down 6 stairs to get to the floor of your unit. This unit was spacious and the view couldnโ€™t be better! The guest room could really use up dating, the blinds were falling off the window, there was really no decor. A mirror and a luggage rack wouldโ€™ve been nice. The guest bathroom was clean but dish jet feel clean because of how dated things were. I was also disappointed that there was no soap or shampoo in that bathroom. The master was very nice! There were beach toys, chairs, umbrellas, tennis rackets and snorkeling gear in the closet. The ac didnโ€™t work great but was helpful. We couldnโ€™t figure out how to get spectrum on the tv. Over all it was a nice place.

Great location - fantastic view

There are not enough words to describe the fantastic view from this unit. The location is also a huge plus, easy walking distance to everything you need. The unit was also well equipped with accessories. I would stay here again. This is the fourth unit we have stayed in over the years at this complex and we always enjoy our time there. That said, this particular unit was not as clean as expected, floors and windows, and the unit is showing its' wear and tear. The location is unbeatable.

Amazing stay!

The view and location of this unit was amazing. I'd have to say A27 is probably one of the best units in this building for sunsets. It could use a bit of updating but very clean and with a great layout. The kitchen was very well stocked with dishes, cutlery, knives, pots/pans, storage containers (nice surprise), coffee pot/grinder. We discovered the blender was broken one night and it was replaced within hours. Amazing! If coffee in the morning is a must and you are arriving late, I would recommend bringing coffee with you as there was none when we arrived. I would highly recommend this unit for anyone that was considering visiting Kona.

This property had an amazing view that you simply can't beat anywhere else. The unit is a bit outdated but it had everything you could need and was in perfect walking distance to downtown. Waking up to the ocean and waves right in front of you every day was breathtaking.

Great view, But...

If it wasn't for the view, the location and the attentiveness of the staff and host, this would be @ 2 stars at best. The view is unmatched and the location to town is incredibly convenient. However, when we arrived the A/C was turned off as well as the ceiling fans and the internet router was unplugged. The first night was uncomfortably warm and we discovered it was partly because 2 of the 3 ceilings fans were only able to go at low speed. We were able to have the fans replaced and all was well in the end. Now that the fans have been replaced I would recommend this unit to others. Slightly dated and worn but for us the view made up for that.

Great Location

This was our 3rd time staying at Kona Reef. We really like the location of the complex, and especially love the oceanfront units. On the positive side, this unit had everything we needed - from cooking to beach stuff to a cooler and ice packs and binoculars and flashlight for a trip to Volcano National Park. As others have noted, the unit itself could use some refreshing, and I have provided some specific suggestions to the owner which I hope will enable this unit to go from very nice to great!

Spring Break

The view from the lanai makes this property worth renting by itself. We were able to see dolphins, turtles, fish, and eels without leaving the condo. There are great restaurants within walking distance and a kid friendly beach nearby. Weโ€™ll definitely be back!!
