'We had a great stay at Cath's apartment! Everything was well thought through, she even left us flowers, pastries and milk! The location is great for visiting the many things that Caithness and Sutherland have to offer. We did a nice tour through the countryside, driving down to Helmsdale and up to Thurso via the single track roads. 'Fantastic stay at John O Groats. We had booked a double ensuite room which looked lovely. When we arrived the manager was waiting for us to ask if we would mind if they upgraded our room as the heating wasnt wasnt working. Obviously we didnt mind. Imagine our surprise when we were shown to our upgraded room. They had given us a three bedroomed, two bathroom lodge which was amazing. Warm, comfortable clean and pur luxury. We settled down by the logburner to watch the sea through the huge windows....
