Voyage à New-York

Première fois à Nex-York pour nos ados. Afin de pouvoir profiter de plus de plaisirs à New-York nous avons fait le choix de ne pas loger dans Manhattan afin de payer un peu moins cher. Et nous ne regrettons pas du tout ce choix ! L'appartement dispose d'une vue de première classe sur la Skyline ! Le bus est au pied de l'appartement pour rejoindre Manhattan et il y a un Lidl pour faire les courses a à peine 10 minutes à pied. Seul point à prendre en compte, l'aller pour Manhattan coûte 4 et il n'y a pas de tarif à la semaine. Donc nous on partait à la journée entière pour éviter de payer trop de trajets. Il y a des bus très très souvent même le soir. Concernant le logement, tout est nickel, seul petit bémol la literie. Le matelas du canapé est très très fin.

Apartment is great. View is amazing. Great to have a parking pass. Nice to have a haven from the hustle and bustle of Manhattan as well. The bus into NYC convenient and drops you off at the transit station which is a good hub for lots of connections. Ferry is hard to get to without a car though, but parking at the terminal is only 20 per day. Our first day we parked at the ferry, spent the day in the city had a great sunset ride back and the apartment was ready. Remember to save a little energy from your day’s fun to get up the five flights of stairs (really not that hard). Good choice for us (family of 4).

We had a wonderful stay! The host, JP was extremely accommodating and always easy to reach. Check-in was smooth and hassle-free. The apartment was clean and thoughtfully stocked with all the essentials we needed, including blankets, towels, soap. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything necessary for our stay, and the view was absolutely breathtaking—truly the highlight of our experience.

Awesome view, the stairs were intimidating getting up into Weehawken from the ferry, but that was only with luggage, I would totally do it again

Beautiful! Exactly as described and pictured. We were thrilled for the well stocked kitchen, bathroom, and laundry supplies. It was also very clean. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Schon allein wegen der traumhaften Aussicht auf die Skyline von Manhattan war der Aufenthalt etwas ganz Besonderes. Sehr schnell waren wir aber auch mit dem Bus oder der Fähre mitten in Manhattan (Fährhafen oder Busterminal) und konnten von da aus alle Sehenswürdigkeiten gut erreichen.Das Apartment ist geräumig und sehr geschmackvoll ausgestattet. Als Familie mit vier Personen haben wir gut Platz gehabt und uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Apartment liegt in einer ruhigen Gegend und bietet in der Nähe gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Für uns war es ein perfekter Aufenthalt und wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Great stay!

My wife and I stayed for a week in this lovely apartment - the views! Just wow! The apartment is clean, well equipped, and so convenient for public transportation to get in and out of the city. JP was wonderful to work with and very responsive. I would highly recommend this property!

Amazing View

We had an amazing stay. By far had the best view of the city you could ask for. Bed was comfortable. Everything you could need in a kitchen to cook, a keurig would be a nice addition. Bus stop was one block away and took about 10mins to get into the city or back at night. Grocery store and a few restaurants walking distance. Will stay here again for sure our next trip.

Amazing View and condo

Super easy to take bus into Manhattan once you get the hang of it. Best View of the skyline! An elevator would be the only thing that would make it better but stairs aren't terrible once you get used to them.

Birthday getaway

The penthouse was great! The view was amazing! Two things added could take this location to another level would be add a balcony and an ELEVATOR!! It was hard trying to party and have a good carefree time thinking about having to climb five flights of stairs afterwards but overall an amazing trip! Thanks for your hospitality!

If you love waking up and closing your eye with New York City view right in front of you, this is your place!!! We could not have had the more perfect accommodations for our NYC trip!!! View was awesome of the city at night and in the day . Was very serene . Transportation was easy to get around with the ferry and Uber . Alittle noisy at night with traffic and sirens but hey it’s the city and to be expected . Stairs keeps you in shape for sure . Be ready for that . Overall great stay .

A very comfortable place to stay

The view was as spectacular as advertised. The apartment was beautiful as well. It was about a 3 minute walk to the bus that took us directly to Manhattan for just a couple of dollars. It is the last stop so it was fully packed when we got on. The trip to downtown takes between 15 and 30 minutes depending on the traffic. There is also a ferry that is down the hill All on all it was great. The only real drawback is the noise.

Unbeatable view

Really nice property with an unbelievable view of the New York skyline. The space was nicely laid out and well-furnished. A little grocery and restaurants were within easy walking distance and the park just across the street along the waterfront was amazing. The only drawback was climbing steps to the 5th floor unit, but definitely worth the view. The ferry is within walking distance. While we used the 220 steps down to the ferry level, walking directions not using the steps (ADA accessible) would be a nice addition to the Welcome book. An excellent place to stay for a trip to NYC!

Awesome Views, Communication and Space

We traveled with 2 adults and 2 kids--ages 9 & 13. I was a little nervous about traveling to and from NJ everyday, but the 15-20 minute bus ride was very easy once we got the hang of it. I've stayed in VRBOs in Brooklyn and Harlem (when it was legal), and this "commute" was similar, if not shorter. The space was unbeatable. 100 times better than a tiny hotel room. The kitchen and bathroom are generously sized, it was rainy when we were there, so the washer/dryer was nice, and having a bedroom for mom dad was awesome. It is a 5 flight walk up, but it is worth THE VIEW. JP was easy to communicate with, and check in was easy! We had a great stay! Thank you!

Stunning

The apartment as mentioned by others is overlooking the Manhattan skyline and it is stunning. Honestly we could have spent our time just watching the changing scenery but of course since we had not visited NY before we were keen to explore. It’s a beautiful apartment with cooking facilities if you want to self cater, or you can take a short walk to good restaurants in the area. We were travelling as a family of 3 so my 15 year old slept on the sofa bed in the living area overlooking the view so he was very happy with this! Buses run regularly in to the city and the ferry is down the stairs within 10 minutes walk. Yes the apartment is up five flights of stairs and accessing the ferry means more stairs so be prepared for that but otherwise it’s pretty easy to get around. Thanks Pierre for a great stay!

Stunning Convenient Location

We presently surprised after a seven hour drive to see the skyline of NYC with the reflection of the lights on the Hudson River. The view form the room was very romantic. We loved the convenience of the location only a stones throw from the bus ride to the tunnel under the river to catch the subway in Manhattan. That was fun way to save some money on taxis! The place was very clean and had all the amenities and more for a great stay. The bed is very comfy too! The only thing I would recommend is to fix the broken latches in the windows to seal them tight to block some of the noise form the road. Overall my wife and I had a wonderful stay at Pierre’s place. Vrbo made it easy to stay I touch. The binder with the instructions and pics of places to eat was helpful. We will be returning to JP’s place in Weehaken again some day to tour more of the The Big Apple and New Jersey City!

Top-Appartement in grossartiger Lage

Eine grosszügige, sehr geschmackvoll, vollständig und modern eingerichtete Wohnung mit großartigem Blick auf die Skyline von Midtown und Süd-Manhattan. Hervorragende Anbindung an Midtown: 12 Minuten Fussmarsch bis zur Fährstation und dann 8 Minuten mit der Fähre über den Hudson River. Besser geht es nicht. Die Fähre ist allerdings ziemlich teuer. In der Nähe (15 Minuten zu Fuß) gibt es einen Lidl mit hervorragender Brottheke nach deutsch-französischem Geschmack (Baguette, Brötchen, Croissants etc.) - Ein unerwarteter Segen. Einziger Nachteil: Auf dem Rückweg vom Fährhafen zur Wohnung muss man über eine Außentreppe mit 220 Stufen einen Hang hochsteigen. Nichts für ältere oder untrainierte Menschen. Die Wohnung liegt im 5. Stock, es gibt keinen Aufzug! Das Treppenhaus könnte eine Renovierung gebrauchen. Starker Kontrast zur gepflegten Wohnung.
