'Er goed en goede service'

'Aside from a member of staff called Kane who was exceptionally helpful, our experience for a birthday break was beyond disappointing. We initially stayed at the sister property The Swan in Tarporley where staff were outstanding but at The Lion we were greeted in what can only be described as very patronising, unwelcoming and brusque, by who we understand to be Beth. We were shown to a room that was classed as executive but had clearly had a major leak in the bathroom as paint was peeling away...

'Loved our stay here. Very quiet room, clean and cosy. Fabulous staff, especially Shannon. Good food too. Highly recommend.'

'Beatiful building, friendly staff, quiet location. Great breakfast and excellent diner.'

'A hotel at a great location on the golf court, with a fantastic restaurant. Unfortunately the state of the building is not as nice as the picture shows, and the windows are desperately requiring maintenance. Service was OK, but I was given 2 single beds instead of a double bed, and they neglected to inform me that Wifi was free of charge. A lot of apologies, but not really what I expected for the price paid. Still an interesting experience and the restaurant made up for it.'

'We had the best stay! Our room was lovely and cosy and the property itself has been beautifully renovated. Breakfast each morning was wonderful and we very much look forward to staying here again.'

'Echt een super Engelse locatie. Prima ontbijten. Echt Cheshire. Je moet echt met een auto komen.'

'That was exceptional inn We have been traveling around the Uk but that was the best inn we have been to The food is great, breakfast is very rich and the hospitality is fantastic There are several walks around the inn and there are easy to walk '

'A lovely place with all the amenities'

'Lovely one night stay. Delicious meal in the 2010 brasserie'

'Place excellent great staff nice food only problem was there was no chair in my room if you lay on the bed you fall asleep but great place'

'Fabulous property in country location, we will definitely be returning so that should be the best review '

'They should air out the rooms, it was extremely stuffy when we entered the room. Had to ask for an iron and it was old and rusty and wasn't working properly. We were afriad to use it. The rooms had no air condition and was very warm. Overall it wasn't managed properly. Sorry to say none of us were too happy.'

'What a lovely little place the owners were very welcoming the place was absolutely spotless and well looked after and well deffo be back 😁'
