A kettle in the room would be handy and a more frequent change of towels would have also been nice (now we received new towels on day four). The rooms definitely aren't soundproof, but the beds were nice and comfy. Very close to different trainstations/busstops, shops and restaurants! Thats nice!

Lovely hotel in an historic landscape and very impressive Clyde Falls, unfortunately staff not always friendly.

I lived on the Isle of Mull for a few months in 2003, so made it to Iona a few times. The Abbey was under renovation at the time but most of it was open. The ruins were very peaceful, as the tourist season had passed.

I highly recommend the Puffin boat tour with Turus Mara on the island of Mull. If you are staying in Oban you can book at the ferry terminal which includes a ferry to Mull, shuttle across Mull to the harbour to meet the tour boat. Remember to pack a lunch. Words cannot describe the experience of having a few hours seeing these beautiful birds so close up and so many. The photo shows one looking up watching a seagull glide across the cliff top. There are also fulmars and razorbills. You will also be taken to Fingals Cave on the island of Staffa.
