« The Byre is an incredible place to stay. Very well and thoughtfully presented with everything we needed for our week on Skye. Spotlessly clean. An ideal space for a couple's get away. Loved the quirky spiral staircase and mezzanine bedroom with a superb view over the bay. »

« Eoin met us at the drive as the cottar is tucked away. He then proceeded to give us his family background and ideas for visiting. There was a stocked kitchen complete with wine and crackers and a cozy fire crackling when we arrived. The inside is a lot bigger than pictures do it justice and we enjoyed unplugging from life for a few days. The location of the cottar is very convenient to the co op, restaurants and anywhere in the island. Honestly, it was heaven! »

« The property really is a 5 min walk from town. That was the best part. The info and photos online are dated and because that set expectations, our initial impression was disappointing - which planted a seed of doubt. Thankfully, the TV, mattresses and towels were all fine. Our stay would have also been enhanced by any kind of general info letter. We had to get in touch with the host for the wi-fi code and figure out the systems for ourselves (i.e. the heating -- but once we figured it out, it...

« Home is lovely with a nice backyard in a quiet neighborhood with play area across the street. We could easily walk to grocery store and downtown Portree. There were some issues with maintenance while we were there, but that couldn’t be helped. »

« Everything about this property was amazing. The staff was super friendly and made check in a breeze. The cabin itself was very spacious and comfy. It had everything we would need to make a basic breakfast and a minifridge for supplies for hiking. They also had an amazing restaurant attached to the property with a bar which made for an excellent way to end the night. Will definitely have to come back for another stay. »
