'We stopped in Puntarenas on our way back from the west coast to San Juan. Unless you are curious to see all of Costa Rica, there is not much at all in this area. It's a filthy, poor area with little to offer, even though it is so close to the beach. The hotel is kind of old and tired with an unclean looking pool. Food is mediocre at best. We had a suite in the newly build tower, supposedly with a view over the marina. No view unless you stand on the balcony. We asked for a different room but got...

'It was exactly as it was listed. Thank goodness for the fan in the room, otherwise no AC was rough. Great area to walk around and explore local stores and sodas. The owner was so helpful and nice! The shared shower was clean, wish there were more places to hang your things though. Requesting bfast was odd bc you had to go find her, I felt weird getting into her person home space. One night she locked the gate on my partner as he was out exploring the town late at night, thought that was odd,...

'Great boutique motel right in front of the entrance to Los Sueños Resort & Marina. Nice, clean rooms and great beds with a friendly and helpful staff. I highly recommend this hotel.'
