'Our stay at Nukumorino-yado Komanoyu was truly unforgettable. The Ryokan is very clean and well maintained, even if some parts feel a little nostalgic and show their age in a charming way. 'It was a mix of Japanese and American style hotel. My room was spacious but had a tatami bed. The hotel itself felt more like an American hotel except, of course, for the soaking pools. The reason why is that the breakfasts and dinners were all buffet which is a bit different from kaseiki. Other than that, the all you can drink sake, wine and beer anytime was great. They even had a self serve soft serve ice cream machine!'

'The room was super comfortable and roomy. The soaking tub in the bathroom was amazing because you could have it hot all the time. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. You should note that some of the rooms are not close to the soaking pools or the restaurant. You have to go through a locked door to the street, walk for 5 minutes, enter another building for the soaking pool and restaurant. This place has one small pool for soaking so if you're looking for an onsen experience it...
