This wonderful 1930's cabin showcases old Idyllwild charm. Unique places like this are hard to find especially this close to town. This home has beautiful douglas fir hardwood floors, cedar walls and ceilings. A Large living room & fireplace/insert, and very unique pocket windows. Our old style country kitchen has a spacious dining area with and adjacent small deck area for morning coffee or tea. Our cabin also features a very large enclosed deck with plenty of space to cook and enjoy the outdoors. It's also a great place for pets to keep them safe when outside. . This little cabin is so darling and is exactly what we were hoping for. From the wood panel walls, to the cozy furniture, soft bed and the sweetest little dining room, we loved it all. The location was great and it’s just about a mile from the center of town.It’s vintage so you can’t expect a new property, but it had a really great heater and the water pressure was excellent with really hot water.There were lots of nice little extras like soap, shampoo, and a kitchen, full of pretty much everything you need to never have to leave. But if you wanted to, you are not far away excellent restaurants.Host was extremely communicative as well.Can’t wait to go back again

Cozy, quiet cabin with all of the amenities. The floor plan layout is great and enjoying a fire in the main room was a plus. So close to town but yet with the feel of solitude. The host was extremely accommodating. We will be back!

What an awesome cabin!

We were looking for a weekend getaway in a cozy cabin, and this is exactly what it was! Wood paneled Wild West feel, but had modern appointments like dishwasher, toaster, etc. Heat was easy to use, BBQ worked great, and the beds were very comfortable. We are looking forward to returning here.

Great home and location!

We only were able to stay for a couple of nights, but we really enjoyed the visit. VERY clean and definitely larger than we expected, including two furnished outdoor decks, a large dining area and a good-sized kitchen. Great to find an affordable, VERY pet-friendly place in Idyllwild.

Not worth it

To start the oictures posted for this booking did not match when I arrived. Everything in the cabin was broken and you can tell needed repairs. The main cincern was there being no hot water. The host informed to run the kitchen water at the same time. In my opinion I didn't pay to jimmy rig things during my stay. All and all i don't recommend this place at all.

Enjoyed snow and good weather; animals and birds.

Just rested; two sons and spouses visited; one from Colorado. Enjoyed the snowstorms even if we were snowed in twice for two days each) until dug out ( fun experience). Enjoyed the town and restaurants. The mountain cabin feel was exactly what we wanted. I was not ready to leave; wife was (long enough for her but she also enjoyed the mountains, animals and surroundings)

Classic Mountain Cabin

We had great couple of days stay here. Great location near the Village and easy access off the main road. Well equipped modern kitchen and bath in a classic old style cabin that's a little rough around the edges in the best way possible. Mark, the owner, was great, communication and instructions minimal and easy. Highly recommend!
