As we would probably visit the Maldives once in our lifetimes, we decided to make it a unique experience by booking a hotel located at an atol which could only be reached by waterplane. We selected the Cinnamon Hakuraa Huraa and were very happy with our choice. The atol is about a one hour flight from the waterplane airport and the views from the sky when flying there are breathtaking. The waterplane transfer costs you a significant amount of money and reservations are to be made through the hotel. The hotel is notified by the airline about your arrival and staff will be awaiting you at the pier. Usually you're the only ones in the plane going there, so check-in goes fast and smooth. Apart from the Cinnamon there are no other buildings at the atol. Water and land bungalows are fantastic, but the 'floor window' and 'pool/sea exit' at the water bungalow are added bonuses. Rooms are well maintained and spotless. Dinner, lunch as well as breakfast are in buffet style. You will be allocated a table during your stay. Food is of good quality and there's sufficient choice. The Cinnamon decided on an all-inclusive formula. However, f.i. a cappucino is not included nor an iced coffee. We do understand that there are exceptions for alcoholic beverages, but for such common ones?!

Perfect destination and people are so dedicated and hard working. Everywhere you go you are welcomed with a smile. A 9/10 in my opinion with only Two things that need to be better: 1. The cocktails aren’t very nice. I tried many of them but none of them tasted like it supposed to be tasting 2. Transfers are poorly organised and take a lot of time. Upon arrival we had to wait for 2 hours for our water plane and for our return we had to leave the property by boat 7 hours before our flight. This way we pretty much lost a full day of holiday which is not okay with the prices that are being asked for the transfers. Your guests want to spend as much time as possible on the property so I suggest to increase the number of boats/planes going each day to ensure people travel comfortably and don’t have to wait at the small airport for 6 hours Apart from that everything was perfect.
