Minutes To Town, Wooded 2 Acre Retreat

  • Authentic & Old Highland Cottage bijgewerkt voor de moderne tijd, gelegen op twee hectare bebost, met inbegrip van een kreek en wandelpaden.

    De cabine biedt een ontspannende koningin slaapkamer, een gezellige slaapkamer met een tweepersoonsbed en een twin stapelbed. Er is ook de optie van een uitklapbare bank voor extra slaapplaatsen. U zult ook genieten van de onlangs gerenoveerde badkamer. De keuken maakt deel uit van de woonkamer en kan iedereen worden, onder de. Het is uitgerust met de opslag en de meeste items zou je normaal nodig hebt voor de voorbereiding. De eettafel is ideaal voor een gezin maaltijd of spel 's nachts. Anderen kunnen de voorkeur geven om te ontspannen in de leren stoel of chaise lounge en genieten van een brand. Kinderen en volwassenen zullen genieten van zwerven de woning en het ontdekken van plezier schuilplaatsen, de kreek, een boomhut, een paviljoen door de kreek, en een schommel voor verdere sensatie.

    Een korte wandeling brengt u naar Mirror Lake of Lake Sequoia naar de eenden, vissen of kano te voeden. We hebben een kano klaar voor gebruik bij Mirror Lake. Vistuig is ook aanwezig.

This is a lovely cozy cottage!! We enjoyed our stay! It was in a great location, close to downtown Highlands. The host was very accommodating. I loved spending time out on the front porch/deck.

Cozy beautifully decorated space

Loved this cabin. Everything about it was just so perfect and comfortable, so much attention to detail, and beautifully appointed. I love staying in rentals that are more than just rentals and income properties but lived in and loved in family homes❤️

Cozy, Quaint, Charming

We really enjoyed our stay at this cozy cabin! Perfectly decorated and had everything we needed for a weekend getaway. It was secluded, but so close to town and several hiking/waterfall spots. For a pet friendly house, it was exceptionally clean. Our Huckleberry, enjoyed running around the large property.

Awesome location - loved the space and the canoe!

Everything was as listed and the area was super - was able to walk down to the lake to go canoeing and we walked into town several times - we like to walk and hike, so walking into town was an adventure itself. We used the fire place and it worked fabulously.

Generally, it is a lovely little cottage in a very quiet area. We would say that the uneven stone and wood entrance steps can be a bit challenging when covered in wet leaves, the tree swing is broke and so would be a bit hazardous for kids to use, and there doesn't seem to be any insulation under the floors so they are very cold in winter weather. But the owners have provided 2 roll-around electric heaters that came in handy to warm up the bathroom in the morning.

Cabin Retreat

I just LOVED my stay at this cabin. The outdoor space is one of the best I've had the opportunity to enjoy. The front porch has plush oversize seating and a swing for morning coffee and late night relaxation with beautiful lighting. There was also a covered deck area steps away from the house that sat next to the creek which allowed you to stretch out and listed to the water and soak up nature. This cabin had just the right amount of rustic quality with modern finishes in the kitchen and bathroom. The bed was comfortable as well. I will be back.

we came in town for our 29th wedding anniversary!The only thing we noticed was the front door was a little jammy to open and there was absolutely no soap to use. Cleaning products were by the front door.

Exactly as advertised

This is a very quaint and comfortable cabin located close to downtown Highlands. 5 stars. AC worked well. Nicely decorated. TV/Internet worked well. This is not a critique, but the only downside would be the kitchen is small and there is no dishwasher. Very basic in terms of cooking potential. Everything else is great and we look forward to renting again!

Vintage Mountain Retreat

If you want to step back in time and stay at a vintage mountain cabin, this is the place. While everything is comfortable and up-to-date, there is still the feeling that generations of a family have loved being together here, and their happiness has soaked into the walls. A velvet silence settles over the place at night and the porch is so comfortable I could have slept there. Take the hefty security deposit seriously, however, since you may have to wait a couple of weeks for it to be refunded. Or you could just accept it as one of the hurdles you have to clear to stay at a place this lovely.

Most comfortable rental EVER

Cabin was spotlessly clean and had the MOST comfortable furniture. The front porch is a haven. There are multiple outdoor sitting areas, including a fire pit on the side of the house not pictured on VRBO, which we enjoyed. There are string lights in the outdoor areas, which makes for a cool atmosphere at night and helps you get around in the dark. The property was big enough to keep my 12-year-old son busy, but close enough that I didn’t worry. The creek pavilion is really amazing, I wish we had gotten to enjoy it more, but it was a short trip. There’s a heater there which we didn’t even turn on, but would make for a nice nighttime hangout spot. There are also two fire pits in this area, right next to the creek. The creek itself was small but beautiful, trickling over rocks. No “swimming hole”, but it would be fun to play in in the summer. The house is in a neighborhood, and while we were aware that others were around, we barely heard any cars and never heard a human voice. It was very peaceful. Beds were very comfy. No barking dogs to wake us up in the morning, which has been an annoyance for us at many other mountain rentals. Highlands is the cutest little town with many amenities, and is very quick and easy to access from the cabin. This is a very convenient location for exploring the area, which is beautiful and rife with waterfalls! We really enjoyed our stay and would love to return!!

Great Cabin In Highlands

This was the second stay in this great cabin for my wife and me. Cozy, welcoming, great fireplace, and perfectly located for exploring Highlands and hiking!

Relaxing

This place is very well thought out! Has everything you can think of. The cabin is cozy and very clean. We enjoyed spending time at the pavilion on the creek and walking through the trails. We can’t wait to go back!

Perfect Old school cabin

We loved our stay here! We were in town for business and we opted for a cabin instead of hotel - best decision we made. You can tell the owners love this place - meaningful touches everywhere. The bathroom towels were luxe and the kitchen stocked well! Hope we can return one day.
