B&B in Hexham

'Place had character. Old inn w/ pub. Very old building, but rooms were comfortable.'

'We had a lovely stay at the Old Schoolhouse. Our room and bathroom were spacious. Our hosts had homemade treats for us each day (an oatmeal raisin cookie our first day and a piece of spice cake the next). Our breakfast was at a large table with the other guests. We loved talking to them, several of whom were walking the length of Hadrian's wall. The breakfast itself was delicious and generous. We would absolutely stay here again.'

'Accommodatie is prima te bereiken via wat smalle weggetjes. Eigenaar is erg vriendelijk en legt alle regels uit. Kamer en doucheruimte zien er heel schoon uit. Prima bedden en een uitstekend Engels ontbijt. In de buurt op ongeveer 5 kilo meter diverse eetgelegenheden, wel reserveren anders zit het vol. '

'Quirky place to stay! Lovely big room for our family of four, in peaceful surroundings next to a ruined castle and 10 minutes from Hadrians Wall! Friendly staff and nice home cooked food for dinner and breakfast!'

'Room was lovely, great breakfast and Yvonne was went out of her way to support us with a late check in. Lovely stay ☺️'

'Excellent Staff, very helpful'

'You don't get good feeling when you get into the room and there weren't shampoo/body wash (delivered next morning). There is no reception and a call to the hotel, it was received by property manager. She mentioned that we didn't had the reservation from Expedia but upon insisting, she found it and took 10 mins to arrive for letting us in. For the price, it's not what I had expected from the room & amenities'

'In the heart of northuberland dark skies area stars every where accomodation fantastic Helen and the staff superb. Very nice breakfasts would book again Ann and George'

'We recently stayed at this newly renovated boutique hotel and absolutely loved it! The interior design is gorgeous, and the entire place was impeccably clean—we had zero complaints about our room or the service. The only downside was the breakfast, which felt a bit too pricey for what it was. We ended up skipping it and grabbing a great breakfast en route instead. It would be wonderful if they offered a more reasonably priced breakfast option in the future. Overall, a fantastic experience,...

'We were walking the Pennine Way and stopped off at Bongate House after reaching Dufton and after walking/backpacking for most of the day. We had a very friendly welcome from Ann who on arrival looked after our every need. Breakfast was ample and tasty. The property suited our needs perfectly. Thank you Ann!'
