Chalets in Hawkchurch

'We werden vriendelijk ontvangen door Paul en zijn vrouw, de uitbaters van de 500 jaar oude pub. De kamer was erg netjes. Om 18:30 ging de pub open en stroomden de plaatselijke gasten binnen en was herberg gezellig. We hebben ons avondeten in de pub besteld en de volgende ochtend werd on ontbijt klaargemaakt. Het was een leuke ervaring. '

'Very good place with dinner and breakfast available. We paid too much via Expedia'

'We needed somewhere to stay with our dog and this limits your choices. However, the Golden Fleece was very clean, good supply of refreshments in the room, shower was powerful and hot water plentiful. They even supplied a fan to cool the room, although it wasn't great, it shows a level of care and consideration for guests and was appreciated. The owners we met were friendly and I would definitely consider staying again if we visit the area again. Only negative is they need to remove the cobwebs...

'Electric charging point spacious comfort room away from road with shared terrace. High quality toiletries well stocked tea and coffee and hot chocolate in the room plus chocolate chip cookies delicious breakfast. Next to an excellent restaurant in a small village just off the main toad. We loved it'

'V good breakfast, comfortable room, great service!'

'Great location in the heart of the town. Parking in the Royal Lions own car park can be a little tight but a space was always available. Our room was spotless and well stocked with tea and coffee supplies. Breakfast was good, plant based options on offer. Staff were helpful and friendly. At times it seemed like the hotel were short of personnel. Overall a great stay would definitely return.'

'We were made very welcome by John and hadall we needed for a very comfortable stay with our two dogs. There were lots of little touches that added to our good experience-including welcome bags for each dog and more than adequate continental breakfast. We would highly recommend a d stay again. Thank you '
