'Romantic weekend away and this cottage could not have been more perfect. Everything was as described. Beautiful sunrise into the cabin. Enjoyed the hot tub. Felt very safe and appreciated towels, soaps, coffees & tea. Only downside was the cleaning fee. '

'As always great stay, great responsive hosts. There were 6 of us, 3 adults and 3 kids. If this cabin is designed for 6 people I would recommend the host to add 3 chairs to the dining table. Otherwise everything worked great!'

'Probably one of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed. Clean, great location, peaceful, and the host even decorated for the holidays. The only iffy part of the experience was that the water left a bit of a residue, almost like the soap never fully rinsed off when washing your hands. Not really a complaint but if anyone else stays and experiences this know it’s likely just a water softener and not something gross or scary. '

'We’ve been coming to Davis for a long time but this was our first time staying in Black Bear. The Bear Lair was perfect for our stay. Clean, well decorated, well equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds, and plenty of firewood. The central location was great as we bounced between Dolly Sods, Timberline, White Grass and downtown Davis. Abby was super responsive and accommodating. We definitely plan to return. '

'Loved the cabin! My only complaint was that the upstairs bed got hot during the night making my daughter uncomfortable. We put the fan up there the second night but it didn’t seem to help. She slept on the loveseat. Everything else we loved! '

'This house was lovely! The owner was personable and friendly, making the check-in and stay an easy and smooth process. The house was incredibly child friendly and dog friendly. The amenities in the house were exactly what we needed for our stay. Would highly recommend booking! My family is already talking about going back! '

'The outside mountain views were amazing. There were deer in the area. The cabin was extremely clean and nice. It was decorated just right and made us feel at home. The kitchen had everything necessary plus extras if needed. The coffee maker was ready as well as a nice grinder. Amenities were numerous and appreciated. The gas fireplace was delightful.
