'This was really just a regular hotel room in an old fashioned building. The breakfast was what you would expect in a hotel - nothing special. The carpets are a bit old and had that old hotel smell. The rooms were not very sound proof. It would be fine if your main reason was to be in Half Moon Bay, and you aren’t looking for a particularly special or pampered experience.'

'Beautiful place but checking long line so took long time our room not ready after 16.00 it was ready . Because of a problem we did not had water from 8.00 untill 12.00 in the room the first morning. It was misty outside seems to be common this time of the year we should have checked that ourself. Our neighbor slammed the door so not super lucky with them. Ps the tips and idears from the congierge where super to watch the wales go to redwood and Half Moon little town to have lunch. Food was super...

'The rooms were fairly quiet, mostly clean, and spacious. The water wasn't hot for long in the shower, but it gets the job done. The mini fridge smelled like old salsa, but it also did its job. The staff was wonderful and helpful. Check in was easy. Check out was through a screen but with a helpful person on the other side. We missed out on breakfast, but our friends went... they ended up feeling really sick afterwards. The location is great, nice and quiet. I would be willing to come back.'

'If you enjoy a relaxing atmosphere this a great place to stay. The rooms are good size and have gas fireplaces. It's located a short distance from numerous restaurants and has a number of areas for walking up on the bluff above the ocean. The staff at this boutique B&B are so nice it makes you want to come back. We've stayed at the Seal Cove Inn numerous times and any time we travel to Half Moon Bay this is our destination. We highly recommend this establishment.'

'The room was clean and very comfortable. The location is VERY convenient to downtown Half Moon Bay - right in the middle of some stores. Great for walking to restaurants and shopping. It was very quiet while we were there but I don't know about weekend noise. There is no staff on the premises but they did response to our phone calls to resolve a few minor problems. We paid for parking which was nice for coming and going. '

'Virtually no ocean view except from the front lobby, and that was obstructed. Sits right on a very busy highway. Very limited parking in the front with difficult in/out access. Staff communication, limited and uninformed. Lots of stairs to navigate even getting in the lobby and all rooms. Nearby properties are less than desirable environment. Spacious, clean room, but amenities more of a motel category. A number of lightbulbs out in the room, bed frame broken and pops loudly, and very large...
