From the beginning to the end, without question, a truly wonderful experience! Let the records show we have enjoyed many VRBO’s over many years & in many states, but this property & its family host has risen the bar. We were so impressed with the first home that we requested to experience the second home on the property…yep, it was even more amazing! We felt safe, comfortable & on vacation at an upscale resort for not nearly the cost. Thank You Addis Acres, Thank You Griffin GA & Thank You Host as we spread the news of our terrific time with plans to return in 2026!!

We booked this place to have a place to stay for my daughter’s wedding that was down the street. Saying that we were blown away by how nice this place was. We will definitely be coming back!!! This place is gorgeous, the view is amazing, and it has a stocked pound. We will be back for a weekend and chill with family and friends so we can enjoy the porch, the view, and the pond!

We had such a wonderful time at Shepherd’s Lodge. We didn’t have nearly enough time to spend there, as we had a wedding to attend, but what time we had was exceptional! The home is such a welcoming place with a big covered area in front with rocking chairs that always stays so cool, and a huge deck that wraps around the side and the entire back of the house with plenty of seating. It was so nice to sit outside and take in the quiet or just enjoy the breeze and scenery. The inside is very well laid out and appointed with large bedrooms and bathrooms, comfortable beds, games for kids, clean and welcoming, with plenty of towels and cookware. The pond is well stocked with fish which my husband enjoyed catching and cooking, and there are kayaks for those who want to paddle around. I thoroughly enjoyed the serenity and peace that just goes with this sweet place. I can’t wait to go back for a longer stay!!

This place is paradise! The rolling meadows, the beautiful house with wrap around decks, the lake…..and the peace and quiet. We got a lot of reading done and our dogs ran and ran. The town of Griffin was like going back in time and the restaurants were really good and amazingly affordable. We plan to come back and we can’t wait to be there again. Thank you so much for sharing this gem.

Beautiful house and property, the pictures doesn't do justice. The owners had everything you could possibly need while your there and kid friendly. I couldn't believe the fireflies we saw outside at night time, I haven't seen those in Florida since I was a little girl, it was so cool. We had the most perfect little vacation and we most definitely will come back.

Perfect family stay!

The home and property was more perfect than we expected. The home was perfectly updated and was very spacious for the whole family. The home had everything that we needed. We loved the back deck just to sit around with family which looked over the water. Everyone was super nice and easy to deal with. I can't give this property a high enough rating. Spacious and cozy- luxury with all the feels of home.

Addis Acres is beautiful! Great lake views from wrap around deck! Bonus points for a well-stocked kitchen with every utensil you could want. Stocked game closet, labeled light switches, nice linens and towels- every detail was perfect! This home provided a magical Christmas for our extended family. The hosts were attentive and considerate- we will definitely be coming back!

Amazing Addis Acres

This cottage was impeccable...the entire experience from start to finish. It far exceeded all of our expectations. So much so that we cannot wait to return and gather for more family time. The accommodations were so lovely and the personal touches provided by the host...fresh flowers...cookies...and all the extra supplies...sure warmed this mama's heart ❤️. My children hopped into the kayaks, on the paddle boards...and fished all day. They had a blast! I would recommend this rental to anyone and everyone. I wish we could give you more than 5 stars! You get 10!

This is a lovely home that is well equipped and, well, just perfect. Tranquil setting, room for everyone. We had a perfect weekend and plan to come again. The owner was delightful. We came for a wedding at Mystic Acres, but will come again just to enjoy our family and this home!

In town for a 2 day conference at the UGA Campus with our team. Property description is spot on. Very clean and relaxing. Great place to unwind after a long day. Sunrises on the front porch were amazing.
