Master Bed and Bathroom Suite that is a 10 minute walk to the center of Historic Downtown Nevada City. Private separate entrance and off street parking. Secluded deck overlooking a wooded setting and seasonal creek. Amenities include- refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, television and Wi- Fi. Queen size bed. The house was originally built in 1898 and was completely remodeled about 20 years ago. This bedroom and bathroom suite is in the back of our house. You walk down 15 steps and through a gate on the side of the house and then up 5 more steps to get to the deck in front of the room. Highway 49 is not too far behind our house so you will hear highway noise. It gets very quiet at night. To the left of the deck we have a bird aviary. The room has its own separate heater, air conditioner and fan that you control with a remote control. It’s a mini split system that hangs on the wall….installed new in August 2024.
Our driveway has a downward slope to it. The majority of our guests have no trouble navigating up and down it but if you have a large vehicle you need to be comfortable about backing up the sloping driveway because there may not be enough room to turn around before you go up the driveway. It is an option to park up on the street.
Please no early check in or late check out. Proper cleaning between guests takes time😀. No refunds for weather.it does snow here approximately 2-4 weeks per year.

Perfect place to stay on our trip to Nevada City! The space is exactly as described. The birds outside were the cutest neighbors! There are apples and wild blackberries on the property, too. In the morning, you may hear people walking around upstairs. Something to consider if you are a light sleeper or want to sleep in. It was a short walk to town. Be sure to check out the Saturday Farmer's Market if you can! Would definitely consider staying here again.

We were in town to visit friends in the area. We just needed a place to sleep. This place was clean and private in a nice neighborhood close to town. The host provided plenty of water and coffee that we enjoyed. The bed was very comfortable.

Property is in the very very good location in Nevada City and it’s very secluded and quiet with a lot of sounds and greenery. There was a bit of a mess up with the dates of reservation online, but hosts were very attentive and responded very quickly by fixing up and cleaning the property for us to move right in

Be ready for discrimination and an unwelcome reception

I am disabled and have a small, hypoallergenic service dog. I harassed and yelled at for having the dog, even though he was wearing his service andI had all that appropriate service papers. They violated multiple parts of the ADA laws. We only stayed about 20 minutes. We left after being told we were unwelcome. I was literally in tears. In all my 60 years I have never experienced such atrocious violations of my rights.

Was a very easy check in process and exactly as it was publicized on the VRBO website. We needed a place to stay on a long travel home and we were not disappointed with the decision to stop in Nevada City. The property description did not note that the parking area was very steep making it difficult to walk around the car. It also did not note that there were 15 steps down and then 5 steps up to the door. Everything worked out for us but these issues were a concern when we arried at the VRBO.
