We booked the cabin for a week in June for our family of 5. The cabin was neat and clean with nice, comfortable furnishings. We used the hot tub and sat on the deck with the beautiful views of the mountains, and the Ober tram passing by. We played the board games and arcade game, and pool and ping pong. We fixed a couple meals at the cabin and had everything we needed in the kitchen, and ordered pizza from Ski Mountain.
There are two full bathrooms, one on each floor. Plenty of towels in the bathrooms and extras for the hot tub. Washer and dryer on the lower floor. The bunk beds were big enough for our older teenagers (19). King size beds in the other two bedrooms were very comfortable with lots of extra pillows and blankets. The sun room was our favorite. It had a great view no matter the time of day/night.
The drive up to the cabin is steep, so be ready to use low gear. The driveway is a little tricky, as people come up the road over a blind hill. We chose to back in so we could see all directions when leaving. It is a short 10 minutes to downtown Gatlinburg and the entrance to GSMNP. We used River Rd in Gatlinburg to avoid most of the crowded Main Street Parkway to get thru the downtown to go to Pigeon Forge. You can also take Ski Mountain Rd to the Parkway, but it’s a bit more of a challenging drive.
A bear visited us each day. Make sure to lock your car doors, he opened ours and took our treat bag!!
