« Beautiful area of Galax, quiet and private. Close to downtown. Beds were comfy and kitchen had all the necessities. Very clean and inviting. All we needed for a lovely weekend. Host was available, helpful and kind. We would stay again! »

« This. Place. Is. Awesome! The pictures do not do it justice. Amazing location far from civilization. Great place to go to unplug. I wish we would have had more time to spend there but we were just passing through and only stayed one night. Whether you want to do your best impersonation of Henry David Thoreau or get back to basics with the kids you cannot go wrong with this property. The owner is a really nice guy as well. »

« very clean and quaint! The cottage had everything you could possibly need and was well stocked with supplies . We did use the washing machine and it did not spin clothes very well. We had to hand wring them before drying. It was the retreat we were looking for. »

« This location was so beautiful and was perfect for our kids (ages 6 and 9). We enjoyed hearing the stream and the fire, laying in the hammocks, exploring the creek, and watching the horses. The hosts were very attentive. We will definitely stay here again if we get the chance. »

« This cabin was the perfect size for our family of four. We were in town for the New River Trail races (I ran the 50k) and we enjoyed the map of the trail on the dining table. The kitchen was stocked and the snacks and K cups were appreciated. There is a trail down to the river (not for those with limited mobility) and it was a fun adventure finding the markers in the trees. The property manager was excellent and helped turn on the fireplace, which was my favorite feature since we were...

« Quick stay in Elkin on our way to a beach vacation. The cabin was great! A modern rustic vibe that was fully stocked and in a beautiful location. I read a book with a cup of coffe on the screened-in porch...it was a dream. 15 minutes to downtown Elkin....would totally recommend Angry Troll Brewery. Great food! »
