Idanha-a-Velha

The Artcore Hotel Porto is such a wonderful hotel. Not too far away from the historic center and walking distance from the Mercado Bolhão. It is truly amazing how friendly and helpful the whole staff is. At reception, at the bar, in the breakfast room… The breakfast is served at the table. There is daily fresh fruit, a basket of bread and pastries, a selection of cheeses and ham. Freshly brewed coffee in endless variations. But that’s not all: You can choose extras from the menu (at no charge!) such as eggs Benedict, croque monsieur, scrambled eggs (too many choices to name them all). To my surprise, there was a 24-hour availability of water, ice tea, sweets and nuts i ln the reception area. Once again, completely free of charge. But that’s not all: The items in the minibar (local beers, sparkling and still water, coke and lemonade) were fully complementary. Finally, there was a fine selection of teas and coffee in the room. At checkout, the receptionist offered us each a bottle of still water “for the road”. I will most probably go back to Porto. May the Artcore Hotel Porto have a room for me available next time! Sincere congratulations to the hotel staff and management!!!
