Thank you for helping us keep A-Frame Ranch peaceful, clean, and welcoming!
The Neighborhood:
A-Frame Ranch sits on 17 wooded acres filled with post oak and mesquite trees, giving you the peaceful feel of the Hill Country while being just minutes from downtown Fredericksburg. Wineries, dance halls, hiking trails, and Main Street’s restaurants and shops are all close by, so you can enjoy both quiet nature and lively town life in the same trip.
Getting Around:
The cabin is accessed by a gravel road with some rocky sections. We recommend driving slowly and paying attention when coming in — it’s not an issue if you take it easy, and it adds to the charm of being tucked away in the country. Having a car is the most convenient way to get around Fredericksburg, though Uber and other rideshares are available (with limited availability at times).
Other Things to Note:
We’re in a designated Dark Sky Community, which makes for incredible stargazing — but nights can be very dark. We recommend bringing a flashlight or two for after dark.
This is the Texas Hill Country, so you may encounter bugs or wildlife. The property is routinely treated for pest control, but critters are part of the natural setting — don’t be surprised if you come across some outside (or inside if doors are left open)
This property is on well water, which is naturally very hard. That can occasionally cause some mineral buildup on shower heads or glass surfaces in the bathrooms. Our team works hard to keep everything clean, but a bit of buildup is part of life in the Hill Country and not a reflection of cleanliness.
Interaction with Guests:
We’re a team of Fredericksburg locals who love our town and are passionate about sharing it with visitors. You’ll have plenty of privacy during your stay, but we’re always happy to help — whether that means offering local recommendations, answering questions by phone, or coming out in person if needed.
