'Gorgeous peaceful retreat! Booked a last minute stay for my family of four, and could not have been more pleased. Everything was clean, comfortable, and the setting was beautiful. From morning coffee on the deck to stargazing it was as perfect. John’s welcome packet has great tips for nearby restaurants and sites that we enjoyed, and lots of helpful info. Would go back in a heartbeat. '

'With a very nice time this is a great property and a great location minutes up the hill to a few trails 20 minutes to the national Park. The house is immaculate and well appointed. It was a pretty warm weekend and the room units for AC had a little issue keeping up but other than that it was a perfect weekend.'

'My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 4-night stay (with our two dogs)! Perfect location; close to Bryce Resort for downhill mountain biking (or skiing in the winter) and lots of hiking trails in the area. House was clean and so was the hot tub. Saw lots of wildlife during our stay. No issue with hot water in the shower like a previous review mentioned. Host was easy to communicate with and quick to respond if we had any questions. Would definitely stay again when visiting the area! '

'My husband and I stayed in this home for our annual anniversary trip. We love hiking and brought our dog with us for some active relaxation. This home was one of the best we have stayed in. It had everything we needed, and was clean and comfortable. Conveniently located about 15 minutes from Front Royal where there was plenty to do; yet also steps away from a trail in the neighborhood, which intersects with the AT. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. '

'Older, charming house in downtown Front Royal was ideal location for our weekend away with friends. Plenty of bedrooms, nice big dining table, wonderful front porch. Appreciated the walking proximity to Front Royal's historic downtown and easy driving distance to Shenandoah National Park.'

'Location had beautiful views, The house was clean, well equipped and had plenty of room. It is very private and quiet! The road to the house was a bit rough for a car but you just have to go slow and use the second entance per the instructions. '
