'Nous avons loué ce château dans le perche pour un week-end entre copains d'université. 'There were eight adult family members on vacation. The property is absolutely amazing. The house was very comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed during our stay.
The grounds are meticulously maintained and the only sounds you hear are the sheep in the dry moat and the birds that inhabit the property.
Though there is no air conditioning in the home, the temperatures were very manageable with the windows open.
Chartres is a charming town, away from the hustle and bustle of Paris....

'My wife and I stayed here as part of a short overview trip of France to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. The spectacual photos in the listing don't even do this place justice as it truly is a place you'd want to tour if you weren't staying there. But what really made this place speical was the host, Iris, who is a national treasure. She lives in an attached home, and she has made it her mission to purchase and restore this anchient chapel, which was being used as a barn when she acquired...
