« I recently had the pleasure of staying in this charming cabin. The location is absolutely stunning, surrounded by nature and by the Ausable river. The cabin itself was cozy, clean, and well-equipped with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. Scot was incredibly welcoming and provided us with helpful information about the area, including great hiking trails and local attractions. « Very peaceful and tranquil property. Minutes from whiteface mountain and you get to take in all the snowy views. We were lucky enough to have a snowstorm the night we stayed and it was a winter wonderland. The amenities were great and Steve was very responsive. »

« We enjoyed staying here. How we wish we stayed for more days. It’s very peaceful. My husband likes to sit at the back to see the sunset. And of course it is close to lake placid, Ausable chasm and high fall George. We will plan to go back. »

« We stayed here as our son was competing in the Lake Placid Ironman. This location was perfect. Short drive to Lake Placid. The property was exactly as described and even better in person. It's cute and cozy. The Jay area is beautiful and would love to come back and hike in the area, as the cabin is close to many trail heads(short drive, under 15 minutes) Shannon's communication was outstanding! « Secluded and cozy. The kitchen had everything we could have needed to cook two delicious dinners with local ingredients from our favorite Rivermede market. (The grill was also in excellent condition) From the well kept firepit to the comfy beds, this A Frame had the perfect combination to help us wind down after our hikes. »

« We had a great time and an excellent stay here in Adk paradise! Everything was neat, clean and accurate to the listing. Many amenities that we utilized like the boats, camp fire and grill. Would highly reccomend this place and would love to come back again soon! »

« Great cabin, very responsive and kind hosts, great location. We stayed for a long weekend with two little kids- great location for hiking and sight seeing. The kids loved the hot tub and loft area. The only suggestion I would have for families with kids is to bring a gate, the stairs are steep. Otherwise we had a great time. Will definitely re-book! »

« This cabin was tucked away from the main road, giving a good balance of privacy and easy accessibility to lots of hiking options. Check in was super easy, the kitchen was easy to cook in, and while small, the shower offered great water pressure from its wide shower head. The deck was great for doing yoga on and the washer/dryer was convenient. We loved getting ice cream from the place down the street! »

« Cozy, cute, comfy, private, and tranquil indeed. Didn’t want to stay in busy Lake Placid, which was not too far for me. The sauna and hot tub were a huge plus. 5 stars for two nights. If more nights, it probably would be a 4 star for me because it was not really roomy for me, a big guy. The host communicated and responded well. You can use hosts’ two small kayaks and enjoy paddling in Mirror Lake! »

« Our stay at Tacklebox was lovely. The cabin is spotlessly clean and very cozy with thoughtful amenities you would expect at a luxury resort: a beautiful sauna, Japanese soaking tub, nice bath products, outdoor grill, outdoor shower, a firepit, 2 kayaks, a canoe, etc. Access to Lake Champlain from a private dock was easy and the view across the lake from the cabin's deck was spectacular, especially at sunset. All in all, we had a wonderful and peaceful stay at the Tacklebox. »

« Wonderful little property with enough wilderness to feel peaceful but not too far off the main roads. Be careful on the stairs - especially in sock feet - I’m 5’5” and was fine, my 6’6” husband was also fine but went up on all fours. Which was a laugh to see. Clean, cozy, comfortable bed, everything worked well, would love to come back someday. »

« Great location near the bike path. We rented this cabin for a family gathering for my husband’s three siblings and their families. Our niece and her son live nearby, so we had up to 13 gathering for meals and up to 11 adults staying overnight.
