B&B in Emsworth

'I stayed 4 nights and my room was not serviced properly. I had to get them to make my bed after I retuned daily. I cannot understand why this was not done. I did not go on a bus mans holiday to make beds I do that at home. The food was very good at breakfast. My room was well used. Toilet seat would not stay up and blind needed replacing. I was in room 2.'

'This is an old style cottage in a rural setting, which does'nt have the best access, however once there the location is surrounded by woodland and fields which are pleasant. The Lady of the house is a charming individual who was welcoming. The breakfast catered for dietary needs and was wholesome. In general a comfortable stay with no frills, but enjoyable none the less. We would use Bridge Cottage again if we visited the area.'

'This property is in an excellent location for Chichester centre and for Goodwood Racecourse. The owner was lovely. Friendly and approachable. Cleanliness is a priority for us and this accommodation was first class. Breakfast options were varied to suit all tastes and we loved the fresh fruit (not always the case in many places we have visited). 'We hadden een ruime kamer met WC en bad. Het zag er allemaal prima uit, en superschoon. De bedden waren goed, maar vreemd genoeg was de ene matras veel dikker dan de andere, zodat het voor twee zware mensen misschien minder prettig is. Ontbijt is niet bij de prijs inbegrepen, maar voor 4 pond beschikbaar, en uitstekend.'

'A band was playing until 11.10pm on Friday night which was above the legal 11pm time limit.. (this was the time I was told this would be the time the band would finish. My room was above the band- so it's worth avoiding that room! It was called “Port” Breakfast was ok other than the mouldly brown bread, I didn't check if the kitchen was clean. Didn't get breakfast on the 2nd morning as I arrived downstairs at 9.15 am - doors all locked up. The room was clean and tidy - staff friendly'

'The staff are very helpful and friendly. The food and beer is good and great value. Parking is a bit tight, so arrive early if you are checking in! If you want to eat, make sure you reserve a table. We found out the hard way on Saturday lunchtime that you can't always get a meal, even if you are a resident. Other than that, it's a good place to stay. It's quiet at night due to the location and the fact that the bar isn't open until late.'
