« The lodge was large (our family of 25) enough for us all to have family time as well privacy for each individual family. The game room offered fun on the rainy days & on good days the lake toys (belonging to the lodge) & our own boat gave us access to the lake. It was a fabulous week & all ages left expressing how fun it was. »

« Living accommodations were excellent for our three family units. There was more than ample supply of kitchen items, towels, games, refrigerators, etc. The pontoon was a great asset. We especially appreciated the opportunity to check-in early, We were VERY impressed with the owners' rapid response to our questions and our requests for information and assistance. Looking forward to being able to return next year and beyond. »

« we had a group of 9 ladies staying overnight. Clean home with plenty of space. Comfortable beds, even the blow up mattress was comfortable. Before we arrived I had reached out to the host several times and always received a prompt courteous reply. thanks for a great stay. »

« The best!! What a great job in preserving this amazing building and the vision to make it a warm and welcoming place for any age group to stay. This was a wonderful place for our group of Brothers & Sister's and spouses to relax, play games and tell stories. They have it all from Kitchen to play equipment. We will be coming back!!!!! « We so enjoyed our stay at Sugar Sand Retreat! The location is ideal and the house was perfect for our group of 10 plus an occasional extra relative. There was plenty of space for our grandchildren ages 13 - 22 to spread out. We rented a pontoon and enjoyed Lake Ida very much! »

« Our stay at Battle Lake was perfect in this beautiful home. The location was very convenient with great access to groceries, restaurants, bait shop, etc. If there is one thing that could be improved it would be the kitchen pots and pans and utensils, they were very limited. Overall we were incredibly pleased with our stay and would absolutely go back! »

« The property was beautiful, nice big back yard where we were able to play whiffle ball, the kids had a blast on the Lilly pad and slide. We were wishing there was a firepit as we were ready to do smores but that would not be a deal breaker if we were going to stay here again, the place is really nice! « We had an enjoyable stay at this property. It was stocked with appropriate basics and felt welcoming. We used the kitchen and dishes, pots/pans and utensils were usable and available. Internet was useable and able to stream a movie. Dock for a couple of fishing boats. Nice composite deck to sit outside. Nice outdoor fire 🔥 area. Can’t control those Minnesota mosquitoes. Nice to have paddle boards available when the wind calmed diwn. »

« We had a very enjoyable vacation on Lake Ida. The home was very well furnished and clean. The kitchen has all the modern conveniences you would need. There were lots of activities for the kids and plenty of outside spots for the adults to rest and relax. Tom (the host) was readily available and quick to respond to questions. »
