'Amazing property for family with three active boys/ the waterslide, gym and padel courts were awesome. Breakfast was nice each morning although very slow service so plan on a full hour for breakfast. The rooms were great and location very convenient and super close to La Fortuna waterfall and El Salto rope swing '

'We just stayed at the Fortuna Retreat for 3 nights with our kids. We had a premium room with mountain view. I wanted to start by saying that the service was excellent even from before we reached the hotel. The communication with them was pretty fast. Thank you to Beverley and Alphonso for making our stay amazing and being very helful. For the price we paid, we just wished they had more amenities. 'Great location in La Fortuna. Close to restaurants and shops and access to all tours. Lovely grounds with beautiful trees and flowers, plenty of birds and wildlife. Rooms a little dated but functional and clean. Breakfast a little sparse so was only aspect that let it down. However would certainly recommend. '

'We loved this hotel. The staff really made our experience so enjoyable. Jeisson went out of his way to walk onto the sloth trail with us and point out 2 families of sloths. Dennis, Stephen, Josue, Rolando, and Alan all went out of their way to check on us and make sure the kids had smoothies at all times. Lol. We saw armadillos and sloths right outside our casitas. 'My favorite place in Costa Rica - maybe anywhere! So quiet and peaceful! You truly feel like you are in the jungle. Upgrade to the spa on deck of your room - amazing to sit and drink coffee or a cocktail in the jungle in warm water. The staff was amazing. The restaurant reasonably priced (it's not everywhere) and delicious. It's on a dirt road, but easily drivable. They will help you plan excursions!
