'We used this house as our home-base for visiting Yosemite this summer. It's a great house with plenty of space and all amenities you need. We loved the fact is has a swimming lake as well. Our start was a bit clumsy since the cleaning lady was not finished with cleaning the house when we arrived and left it unfinished as she needed to fix her broken car. But the overall experience was great. Highly recommended!'

'Wonderful home with a warm, boho vibe. Everything was clean, thoughtfully designed, and felt instantly comfortable. The location was great for heading into Yosemite (closer to an hour drive but not a big deal) the drive is gorgeous. The owners were fantastic: responsive, kind, and genuinely caring hosts. 'we have stayed 4 nights and could stay longer if we had a time. The challet is in a great location, less than an hour from Yosemite valley, Hetch Hetchy dam or Sonora, but in a very quite location at the end of a road. You can get there easily, just go to the end of paved Hells Hollow road and then keep straight on the dirt road until you reach 2111 and the gate. Just drive very slowly on the dirt road especially at the times when is so dry and hot like now as driving fast gets a lot of dust in...

'Our first impression was “Wow!” The house was sparkling clean and spacious (with a cozy feel). We enjoyed the fully equipped kitchen, easy to use air conditioning and awesome hot tub. The outdoor spaces were lovely. The location was convenient to town. The host answered questions quickly and provided a lot of extras that were such a nice surprise and treat. It was easy to love this beautiful, welcoming place! '

'Oaks Retreat was the perfect location for our stay outside of Yosemite National Park. In addition to spending full days in the park, we explored Bear Valley, Coulterville and the surrounding area.
