Pensions in Duns

'I was in Rm 4, a small twin with ensuite. The window opened (hood) but unfortunately, right onto the alley where the cooking fan vented. It was quite loud but did stop before bedtime. Breakfast was surprisingly included and very tasty. Did not have dinner as there was nothing small that I wanted to eat. I was later told by a customer that you could order half portions of the main menu items. I didn’t realize this and would have done so. Good drafts on tap, staff were friendly but the room...

Koffie was goed! '

'Check in was not good. I traveled from a different country and needed wifi to get a code. I had to drive 5 miles to get to a friend to call the owners. The owners were in and out of service so they could only text. When i finally got the proper code. It was 5 flights of steep stairs. It should have been told how many flights of stairs to go with a large suitcase.'

'We were blinded by the photos on the Internet. The reality is completely different. For example, the rooms are small and don't even have a wardrobe. The breakfast room was completely different. Sparse, unloved. It had the charm of a storage room. See photos. We had a room on the street. The noise was very loud due to the busy street and the poorly insulated and old windows. There is no air conditioning... The accommodation seems like a detention center for travelers. You're completely on...

'One thing to say it was like a back packers retreat !!! Everything was falling apart ! Back packers everywhere. No fridge or air con or fans in the room. No hot water for 3 days in my bathroom !!! No daily services so 1 towel was supposed to last me for 9 days !!! Photos in advert is not what it is when you get there either !!! Nice soft sofas are not at all what you get there !!! No tv in rooms either !! Place is falling apart !!! Do not book. They told me that Expedia has with...

'Colin and Lisa were superb and friendly hosts and the stay was not only comfortable and clean, but also aesthetically pleasing. The breakfasts were well prepared according to taste. We were delighted with our two nights' stay there and will hopefully return soon.'

'A cozy hotel with lovely beds and clean linen, that's the main thing. Nice that we could also eat here for a reasonable price. Room 2 has a view of the garden with Rowan trees and the church tower.'

'We had an amazing time here. The hotel is beautiful and everyone was so lovely and helpful. The breakfast was great. The view was nice. It’s quiet. They have lots of games and there are some nice hikes nearby. Do yourself a favour and stay here!'
