« Great hotel in the countryside not to far from Edimburgh, the staff was very Nice and welcoming. The room for 4 was confortable under the roof. The Bell of the Church ends at 11pm. The breakfast and the dinner are delicious and copious »

« A 200 year old pub and inn - interesting ! Unfortunately our room was fairly horrible, we definitely got the hotels.com room : 200 year old mattress, wall view, kitchen vents under the window and lots of noise when we (or the neighbours) ran any water. Food in the evening was good and breakfast ok (very dingy dining room). Everything needs an overhaul. The staff were great though ! »

« This is a nice old estate in the countryside, about 30 mins from Edinburgh. The setting is beautiful, there is a river and forest just a short walk from the estate. Our room (#2) was a okay, the wallpaper was cute and beds were comfy but the wood floor under the carpet needed to be screwed down, it was SO LOUD every time you walked on it. The shared living space was large and nice, the kitchen was huge. Overall, we would stay again! »

Les deux chambres que nous avons occupées étaient propres, la literie de bonne qualité, l'équipement correct. La décoration est sobre. « Really nice apartment in a great location to the square. Close by to the bars, cafes, restaurants and also not far from the Castle and main roads to get into Kelso. Check in was easy as the owner sent us details of how to get in and everything was very straight forward. Rooms were comfy, well decorated and it was a fantastic space overall. Genuinely felt really cosy and at home as soon as we entered, and it was especially great to have so much storage space including a walk in wardrobe. ...
