Vacances District de Copeland

Despite the stated check-in time being 11am to midnight, we were rudely spoken to on the phone by the manager when we arrived to check in at 11pm after a long work day plus hours of driving all because we hadn't replied to some messages about check in, all whilst we were driving I might add, so he's annoyed becuase we didn't text and drive! We expected to arrive and for check in to go smoothly, however, the underground parking is not guaranteed if you arrive late, and you have to pay an additional £20 per night on top of your room fees if you want to park your car in the buildings car park. This is not made clear on the listing, at time of booking it simply read "parking is available". The balcony door was also not opened by any of the provided keys, and when questioned about this the listing manager said "what do you mean" "use the key mate and open it". Once again horrendous customer service, which leaves a bitter taste in your mouth. The security guard at the front desk was polite and extremely helpful, and he was also the one sent up to help with the balcony door, and he did fix the issue which was nice. Overall the apartment cant really be faulted. Just naff customer service from someone who doesn't know how to speak to and treat their tennants with respect. We left the place spotless and it still took 4 days of having to message the Staysavvyaccommodation guy on whatsapp to get our deposit back. I never leave negative reviews but that's my honest experience.

Interesting building and good value for money

excellent accueil pat tous les membres du personnel sans exception. hôtel bien placé permet de se balader à pied dans toute la ville, proche d'un arrêt de tramway et à 10 minutes de la gare.

The room was spacious, and provides was a complimentary breakfast and beverages to drink. The ensuite is a nice large size. Car parking can be a bit of a squeeze if there are guests with cars staying in all of the flats. There was good friendly communication with the owner most of the time. The WiFi was working, but for some reason not the smart TV. Maybe a previous guest messed it up. The house is on a good bus route, with a stop across the road and regular buses into Derby city centre and late ones back. I would stay here again, despite the negativees about the TV not working during my one night stay and having to park on gravel because all the proper parking spaces were taken.
