'It was wonderful. It was a late night arrival after a stormy drive and such a pleasant welcoming. Too cold to try the pool. We were greeted by the owners upon arrival and also saw them when leaving who were very pleasant to chat with, as was the dog that carried a rubber boot around. Everything was modern and easy to use. Of the highlights were the home made bread along with jam and fresh farm eggs left for us, and awaking to see lambs just outside the windows with cattle not far in the pasture....

'Ruime kamer, alles was prima in orde. Het was een goed verblijf op onze doorreis naar het Noorden. We hebben gegeten in het restaurant op het terrein zelf, helaas was er geen buitenverlichting toen we weer naar onze kamer liepen, was wel erg donker. '

'Pros: The recently renovated bathroom was clean, and the beds and bedding were comfortable. Cons: Barbecue facilities were advertised, but none were available. When we enquired, we were told that it had broken that week and he hadn’t had time to fix it. We had steak and sausages to cook and had to rely on the electric stove. There was no knife for cutting meat or bread (only a tiny kitchen knife). In addition, the only frying pan was something you wouldn’t donate to a charity shop – it was old...
