« My partner and I hoped for a peaceful getaway to hike and chose this place. As soon as we drove in, it seemed like nothing we’d quite seen. It’s walled like a park with an expansive front yard area, but it’s private. There are really cute old buildings. It was like we had the place to ourselves. There’s a kitchen and plenty of room in the sleeping building. Things were really clean and nice with a coffee welcome tray. Took a walk up to a little lake, and then hiked into the woods -...

« Such a jewel. We love the town of Madison and this hotel is a wonderful place to stay. The staff is amazing. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. It was really nice the pool was still open and clean. It is very convenient to shops, restaurants and the river. They have a shuttle that takes whatever you want and picks you up. »

« Terrible, disappointing breakfast. What i would get in a cheap motel. Dismal. Coffee was excellent. Would never stay there again. Asked for a hotel handout telling about its history and the cotton factory but they had nothing. The brochure telling the town was ice »

Perfect for an 11 year old boy - he LOVED exploring the castle and grounds, and I loved the gorgeous furnishings and comfy room (and I’ll be honest, I also loved exploring the grounds). David is so so so personable and welcoming. I only wish we had more time to hang out! »

Unique venue close to all the attractions Louisville, KY has to offer and a beautiful, pastoral setting too. The host was very friendly and made us feel welcomed and at home. Highly recommended. »
