« The air conditioning in my room didn't work. I had to buy a fan at Walmart to be able to sleep. The tv is going out - the colors on the screen were limited to magenta and radioactive shades of yellow and green. The desk chair is missing a wheel. There was a wet washcloth trapped in the frost in the refrigerator freezer. »

« Big Horse was an excellent find on Expedia. Self check in and out was so easy, guests were very quiet, and right down the hallway is the Black Maple Coffee and Sandwich shop. Reading material regarding the area was very interesting, and I visited the Emiquon Nature Preserve 8 minutes away before heading home. The Spoon River Anthology booklet also led me to exploring the town and poet Masters, circa 1915. Lots to come back for!! »

« The apartment has rustic cabin vibes and was perfect for our one night stay. Our son was running the Relay for America, and his segment start was only .3 miles away. PERFECT! The place was very clean (but did have a “closed up” smell which could be remedied by opening windows for a period of time), and the host was very responsive to any messages sent. Thank you for a great stay! »

« Bonjour, horrible est un mot faible pour cet hôtel qui est hideux avec des cafards et des punaises de lit !!! Ma fille et moi, nous sommes retrouvées avec des boutons ; j'ai menacé la gérante de contacter les services sanitaires. De plus, j'ai payé en liquide et une tentative de débit par carte bleue a eu lieu, j'ai dû le refuser et demander un remboursement puisque je suis partie dans un autre hôtel. C'est une hote pour Expedia de proposer cet hôtel! »

« We enjoyed the house and location. Perfect for enjoying kayaking on the lake, fishing (didn't catch anything), listening to the birds, sunsets, stars, s'mores on the fire, and just relaxing. Please look at prior reviews...I brought our own bath towels (I'm a towel snob), paper towels, etc. Be aware of the very tight staircase to get downstairs. We will be back! We even lucked out that there was a special market downtown on the riverfront Saturday morning..instead of the farmers market. »
