'This is a hotel we first went to 55 years ago. It remains rustic but is in very good order and gives you a wild coast experience without useless frills, preserving the very real touch with the South African beach experience outside the high rises and fancy hotels and eateries. It is simple but very real and honestly stress free, staff is high service and amenable without being servile and plastic. We recommend this to folks who want a magnificent beach, old world charm and style na d fully...

'The property is in a beautiful location with access to a beautiful beach. Gardens/pathways are well maintained. The spa is excellent. Small problem areas are - teapot in room still full of old tea/rust colored water in the kettle/wooden strip above the lounge curtain fell off/dinner was mediocre (risotto was terrible - stodgy lump)/back of house area behind our villa had garbage lying around. Devil is in the details. '

'We kwamen aan en hek stond open. Deze sloot gedurende het verblijf niet. Het was totaal verlaten, het gaf een unheimisch gevoel. We waren ook de enige gasten. Eigenaar gebeld dat we ons niet veilig voelde. Hij luisterde niet echt, eigenlijk moesten we ons niet aanstellen(zo voelde het) we zijn er een nacht gebleven ipv 2. 'What an amazing place, Mpongo Premier Game Reserve is the best. The Manager Pieter made sure that our stay is pleasant. From Reception the welcoming was excellent. Johannes the Ranger gave us tutorials about the Game Reserve thank you very much. The food was wonderful Breakfast was exquisite '

'Great place friendly staff only downside was the outdated bathroom and an exceptionally small room television.'

'Chaotic. Internet down. Freezing room with no blankets or heater. No staff in bar while waiting for keys to be found. A shame as it’s a lovely place with a lot of potential'

'Great staff, great property, truly refreshing. The property is underrated, from the rooms with outside showers, amenities and the game roaming around the property and lastly the trail within the property offers a great opportunity to walk or run for relaxation and reflection, we were pleasantly surprised by all of this. The only bad thing we noticed was the odour in the room at times, it smelled like blocked drain or sewage.'

'No shelf in the shower. The property was geared for the occasion but only just'

'Wunderschön gelegenes Hostel mit komfortablen und sauberen Zimmern. Das Essen ist super lecker und vielfältig. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Strand ist einfach idyllisch. Empfehlenswert ohne Einschränkung :) Immer wieder gerne!'
