'Its a beautiful, nostalgic throwback to a colonial India hillstation. Darjeeling is wonderful and this hotel has memories, from the posters and photis on the walls, of life back when. I stayed in the Tenzing Norgay block, with old somewhat faded photos of the great man along every inch of corridor. But not everything works...some of the lights, the bedsheets dont fit, the towels are worn. None of that distracted me from the historic atmosphere of old time luxury. The afternoon tea was...

'The rooms were clean and the staff were really helpful. They need to make the hotel more friendly for the people with disabilities. They need to put side rails up and make the hotel more wheel chair accessible. Furniture is old, basically to maintain the colonial heritage, but still the furniture could polished to look new. Otherwise no complaints. They just need to make it more friendly for the DISABLED since it’s on the top of a hill.'

'Service, location, friendly accommodating staff made us feel like home. Kanchanjungha views from hotel view point.. outside some rooms, dining hall, outside reception.. everywhere. Gave some suggestions and feed back to the general manager who was very appreciative of the constructive feed back. Passion of the staff to serve customers is unparalleled and trickles down from the leadership of Debarya, who seems to talk about the resort like it's his baby. Doma in dining room, authentic Nepalese...

'Good property to stay at very good location. Staffs are polite and helpful. Only problem I faced while checking out that they could not find my payment which already made during booking the room on hotels.com.There must have some communication gap between hotel and hotel.com causing unnecessary delay in checking out.'
