No smoking permitted inside guesthouse (may smoke in the balcony). Sorry, no pets and no parties.

**** PLEASE NOTE ****
a. Although the room has a fridge that we will stock a starter pack containing water, milk, yogurt & fruits, as well as facilities for making tea, coffee, we do not provide food.

b. Utilities especially Electricity is very expensive in Dar es Salaam, thus we will request for you to switch off the Air Condition and lights incase of no usage

c. We only do short-term stays and do not have monthly rates.

Other Things to Note:
The host is more than willing to give an hour or two during the weekend to show you the neighborhood starting with a visit to Mbalamwezi beach or Velisas which are less than 10-minute drive away. Follow up with a stopover at one of the Largest local artisan the infamous tinga-tinga paintings and Makonde (wooden figurines) market is Peninsula area.

Last stop will be a visit to one of the longest beach coast area (coco beach) a 15-minute drive away from the apartment, the beach is full of local vendors who will sell you fresh local delicacies from fresh coconut water to Zanzibari snacks - a true amalgamation of culinary Swahili flavors.

All this is to make sure your trip to Dar es Salaam is memorable and worth it.

For pick and drop off: We will recommend to Use Uber, however, we are more than willing to arrange transportation services (charged separately) from the airport or ferry pick up, drop off as well as Dar es Salaam town trips.

Security: The unit is located in one of the safest areas of Dar es Salaam, in the same neighborhood of the private residences of two former presidents of Tanzania.

Food: The area is surrounded by multi-cuisine eateries from restaurants serving typical Swahili foods, to restaurants serving gourmet meals, not forgetting the convenience of fast food outlets such as KFC and Pizza Hut.

Healthcare: 24-hour service of major hospitals and ambulance services less than 5 minutes away.

Supermarket: For your convenience and accessible there are small shops "Duka in Swahili" just outside the apartment and a fruit as well as vegetable stall just nearby. In case you need to do proper shopping, the apartment is less than 5 minutes away from Shoppers Plaza Mikocheni via a tuk-tuk.

Souvenirs from Tanzania: Wood Carvings and Sculptures (Mwenge Woodcarvers), Nafasi Art (Mikocheni); Paintings, arts and crafts (Tinga Tinga market peninsular) - where you could put to the test your killer bargaining skills are approximately 10 - 20 minutes drive away.

Transport: Mars Residency is strategically located in the heart of Mikocheni, with access to all means of transport.
- Bajaji (local tuk-tuk) stop is 1 minute away
- Duka (local convenient store) is 1 minute away
- Uber taxis and Uber Bajaji is just a click away and the host is happy to coordinate
- Approximately 5-10 minutes away via tuk-tuk from the blue bus station (Bus Rapid Transport)
I highly recommend Uber for your commute, however, a tuk-tuk (Bajaji) stop is just outside the apartment.
