All Season Vermont Vacation Cottage

Sunset Cottage has been described by people who have visited as quaint, cozy, romantic, bright, peaceful, relaxing. There is one bedroom downstairs and additional sleeping in the loft area. This fully furnished cottage has lots of light with 2 picture windows on the first floor and one on the second facing South and West with great views of the open fields, trees and the Green Mountains. The cottage has a cathedral ceiling with a large loft area that is a TV/Sitting area and can be used as a sleeping area. There is a Vermont Castings gas stove which heats the cottage with additional heat in the bathroom, which has a tub/shower and washer/dryer. Downstairs also is the living room/ kitchen area. The kitchen is complete with a full size refrigerator, gas stove with oven, microwave, coffee pot, etc. Linens are provided. Nearby are country stores, fine dining, churches, libraries, post office, groceries, beverages. and several micro breweries, including the Hillstead Farm Brewery in nearby Greensboro.
Winter Sports:
Cross Country skiing, snow shoeing, skating at the nearby Craftsbury Outdoor Center.
Summer Sports: Craftsbury Outdoor Center provides bike rentals. Also the cross country ski trails are used for biking trails. The Center also provides professional sculling lakes and instructions.


Snow Mobile: We are located by the trail! Park your trailer and you can ride from Sunset Cottage.

We were really happy with our stay. Was surprised how cozy and warm the cottage was in negative temperatures, and it was more spacious than anticipated with the loft area. Our dog really enjoyed the large private yard. Host gave good instructions and tips. C Village Store is a must when visiting. Bring bottled water since it is well water.

Fabulous cabin! Two day stay for some cross country ski competition at Craftsbury outdoor center. Lovely quiet cabin. Very comfortable. Nice and relaxing between races. Special place

The sunset cottage is so much more than the pictures even tell you! Amazing views, communicative host, private area. The cottage has everything you need, my dog had the best time running in the yard playing fetch while we enjoyed having somewhere to hunker down after checking the area out all day. Definitely will be back!!

Lovely location and yard. Cottage was clean and had everything we needed. Bedroom space was tight, but certainly adequate. The well pump was a bit noisy. Overall, 4.5 stars and we would definitely stay there again if we were in the area.

Always a great stay at Sunset Cottage! John is a great host. He is always quick to respond to any messages I send him, and always available to help with any questions! Great cottage, great location too! It's quiet but close to shops and restaurants. It's perfect for if you want a place to hunker down and just relax for a few days, and just as perfect if you want to explore the NEK all day and have a cozy place to come back to at night!
