Negatief: Netheid, personeel en service en staat van de accommodatie en faciliteiten
We stayed at Stoweflake Resort in Vermont after a full day of skiing and what should have been a relaxing night turned into a complete nightmare. We checked in, grabbed our keys, and went up to our room only to find it had not been cleaned from the previous guests. There was trash everywhere and the beds were completely unmade. After skiing all day, that was the last thing we wanted to deal with.
We went back to the front desk and the guy told us we were getting an “upgrade” for me and the three other guys I was staying with. We went to the second room and it was a one bedroom that was missing a bed, even though we booked a two bed room. I asked how that was considered an upgrade. It clearly was not.
So we went back again and were placed in a third room. This one was at least vacant, but it was dark, outdated, and had stains everywhere. For $350 a night you would expect something decent, if not updated then at least clean with solid amenities.
We tried to use the pool and it was green. At that point we asked the front desk for a refund and he refused. To top it all off, we barely slept because a dog in the room next to us barked all night.
Needless to say, do not waste your money here. Save yourself the headache and stay somewhere like Trapp Family Lodge or anywhere else. This place was a complete disappointment.
