B&B in Amalfi Coast

'De host was supervriendelijk en betrokken. Ze ontving ons hartelijk, legde alles goed uit en maakte een heerlijk ontbijt elke ochtend en was makkelijk te bereiken. De accomodatie zelf was perfect voor 2 personen en vanaf het dakterras was er een adembenemend uitzicht. Het vervoer tussen Positano en Praiano was wel wat lastig, de bustijden bleken niet goed te kloppen en de haltes zijn niet bekend op Google Maps. Ook waren er best wat pittige klimmetjes in de omgeving, maar dat hoort erbij....

'We have just arrived home from an amazing stay in Praiano. We stayed in La Barbera B & B. We having nothing but positive words to say about this place! From the moment we arrived, we were met by two wonderful staff members. Sylvia was a delight. So very friendly, approachable, knowledgeable about the area and offered great advice and recommendations. Our room was beautiful with the most amazing views over the coastline. 'Based on the reviews of other visitors did we choose this charming Bed & Breakfast. What a dissapointment when we saw our expensive room with the cheapest furnuture, a camping bed, the crappy renovated bathroom with sticky shower curtain...Since we booked, we could not get away and had to bear the clearly sounding bathroom and bed noises of the neighbours all night through the filter thin walls. The owner obviously thought he could transform his former garage into 5 'bed and breakfast' rooms...

'Property was beautiful, clean, and well maintained. Francesco was so gracious and hospitable upon check in and all throughout our stay. Had no problem storing our luggage prior to check in so we could go explore Positano or after we checked out. Breakfast was delicious and I am sure rare to be included in the price of stay. Beautiful view of Positano as well with a couple of markets and a bus station very close by. Will definitely miss this place!'

'We stayed two nights here. It’s very difficult to access, many stairs with luggage but checkin was smooth. Room was very clean….air conditioning is controlled by a weird system exiting and entering. Not bad unless it doesn’t work correctly. Also, we had booked a terrace view and felt deceived. It’s a view of the bus depot and parking lot. Not known based on pics. Did not use. The first night was good overall. The second day we had to have the staff reset AC for it to work. Thankfully...
