Mooie locatie maar…
Mooie verblijf mooie locatie maar. Zit je in het regenwoud, word je wakker door de fluitende vogels tot de grasmaaier of bladblazer begint (om 7.00 uur). Daarna ging de muziek aan. Niet fijn .

Het resort heeft een prachtige ligging met een uitzicht dat nooit zal vervelen. We waren er in het laagseizoen dus het was heel rustig. Pure ontspanning in de hangmat op het balkon. Het ontbijt was erg goed. Diner opties waren wat minder. Er worden veel excursies aangeboden maar deze zijn erg prijzig. We hadden gehoopt dat er meer hiking trails toegankelijk zouden zijn die we gewoon zouden kunnen lopen. Maar dan zul je zelf vervoer moeten regelen omdat het van een ander bedrijf is begrepen we. Jammer. Door de COVID heeft het resort waarschijnlijk zware klappen gekregen. Veel outlets zijn gesloten en ze zijn druk met reparaties. Renovatie is nodig maar zal een lieve duit kosten. Desondanks vonden wij het een heerlijke plek en hebben we genoten. Het zwembad was favoriet bij onze kinderen.

Prachtige ligging
Comfortabele kamer. Prijzen in restaurant en bar zijn ok. De prijzen van de tours zijn belachelijk duur. Gelukkig kan je in de omgeving prachtig wandelen. Personeel is ongeïnteresseerd. Het was erg rustig. Koelkast werkte niet en die is na 3 keer vragen omgewisseld. Mooi schoon zwembad.

Matig hotel, wel een toplocatie....
Bij inchecken was onze (bevestigde) reservering niet bekend. Geen excuses, niets. Service in restaurant benedenmaats. Eten niet bijzonder, oudbakken brood ed. Roomservice ruim een uur te laat bezorgd. En een dag geen handdoeken gehad of uberhaupt nog te krijgen.

Breathtaking and incredible experience, the staff go above and beyond. If you are vegan make sure to let the buffet know when you arrive and they make every accommodation.

The staff was amazing and very accommodating! We booked a rollaway bed but when it arrived it was very uncomfortable, they upgraded us to a suite at no extra charge! The staff were all friendly and helpful!

C’est magnifique! Du luxe en pleine jungle. Le brunch est mon highlight côté bouffe. Les chambres sont grandes et la vue est magnifique. La piscine est gigantesque. Super expérience!

Our stay at Gamboa resort was great! We visited for the nature as we big into birding. The whole area is so beautiful and nature at it's finest. The hotel is almost 25 years old and although it shows its age in the main building, the room we had was very spacious, clean and comfortable. On the first day from our second floor balcony we saw lots of birds, including 4 aracari toucans and 2 killed-billed toucans. The staff at the place was super attentive and friendly, in the restaurant Jonathan was a star for us! Food every day was good and although it's buffet, there were plenty of options for each meal. Overall our stay was amazing. Loved birding in the area and came back home with a whooping 35 new species identified. We will be back soon!

Set into the hillside with sweeping views of the river and rain forest. Staff is attentive and professional. Rooms are spacious and clean. The pools was uncrowded and refreshing. The buffet was high price for lots of mediocre food. The Monkey Bar on the lobby level was much better with ala carte options. The empanadas were so good we took some with us when we left. It is difficult to understand all that they offer - the property is expansive. Hope to return one day

Beautiful grounds, helpful staff, some services like arranging taxi to airport way more expensive than they should be - like $$20 more than Taxi to get there from airport. Food is good but expensive compared to other good restaurants we ate at while in Panama.

This property offers a lot of activities related to nature. The river view room is the best. All meals from thecrestaurant is buffet style. The monkey bar has a menu. Enjoyed the seimming pool also.

This place was beyond amazing! The staff was extremely heplful with all needs. They provided tours. I went on the aerial tram, rainforest walking tour, sloth tour and the monkey island boat ride. The guides were very knowledgeable and personable in all subjects. I felt at home.

This resort is beautiful! While it isn’t the newest in the area it does have incredible views, extremely friendly staff, good food & drinks, and spacious rooms. They help with tours of the area and provide a free nighttime wildlife tour that is 25 minutes long. This is a must see & stay in Panama.

It was a wonderful place. The rooms could use a little bit of renovation / updating, but overall we liked it very much. If you want to do tours you should book them well in advance, but we managed to see a lot of things anyways.

Excellent location for birding, lots of birds on property and legendary birding close by. The resort is getting dated but still nice. Same with the amenities (pool and dining areas). The rooms ac was lacking at a constant 25.5 celsius. I emptied the humidifier about 30 times in the week we were there. Visit the town of Gamboa for a Panamain feel.

Traditionshaus in toller Lage am Fluss
Das einzige Hotel in der Gegend und unbedingt einen längeren Aufenthalt wert. Nur wer hier wohnt kann früh morgens die Wanderungen starten und kann auch noch abends die Stimmung am Rio Chagres genießen. Das Hotel ist trotz des Alters noch gut in Schuss und auch die Leistungen passen.

A luxury option for birders - close to the famous Pipeline Road, but there are also trails on the property and near the activities area, and fantastic views of the Chagres River and marshes.

Great experience at this resort. It’s in the jungle and has great local fishing available across the river. The wildlife is an orchestral event at sunrise and sunset! Tours are decent but pricey. Saw a sloth on my own walk across the bridge and howler monkeys are everywhere.

An historic building.
This is the place to be if you want to explore the area. The pool is perfect and the breakfast buffet is very good. My room was at the 2nd floor and even if there was a smell in the corridor,inside our room there was no problem. There is some restaurants in the complex but only one was open,the others open on week ends. The buffet for breakfast,lunch and dinner was affordable if you are hungry.There is few other options. There is no spa and no others facilities than the pool. The waiters and waitress were very nice and a warm welcome was appreciate.We have no complain.

Magical experience. Only complaint is that the driver from the airport actually took almost 2 hours and there are repairs getting to Gamboa. Just factor that in! Food was incredible and the views do not get old. Monkey bar stuff were kind and made great drinks!

Beautiful, but lacking basics
The property views are amazing, the staff is hospitable, but the food options are limited and there is no mini shop if you need an item (there is only a shop for souvenirs... for example, I needed more bandaids - lots of hiking & I got a couple blisters - & the front desk staff told me didn't have any. They were so unconcerned. I think this is odd for a hotel, especially considering there is no kind of market on the property. I also ran out of Deet - again, nowhere to buy more. I would have liked to have a sign for the room door (Do Not Disturb/Please Clean Room). There were 2 options for dining: a watered down buffet or the Monkey Bar, which serves a basic sports bar menu (burger, wings, nachos, etc.) - not bad, but it would be nice to have some some additional options. The music on Friday was fun & the staff at the tour desk is really nice.
